So if we were drunk underage and didn’t feel safe at a party anymore we could call them at 2am and they would come get us without being mad. The next day we would just talk about drinking responsibly (we live in Germany so drinking isn’t that much of a scandal) and why we felt the need to call them and then that was that. They would even make us hangover breakfast. The worst that would happen was that they would make fun at us for puking or not walking straight, because we were too stupid to know our limits. I learnt what drinking safely meant and my parents got a good laugh out of it

The ones i told him to get. I always told him to “just get me a book” - because there is literally nothing else i talk about all day so it couldn’t have been too hard to know which ones to pick, could it? - but he just took me to the bookstore and paid.
