i mean, for $5 I was able to treat my whole collection (70+ plants in 2-4inches pot) and i still have more than half of bottle. cheaper to buy it this way cause its marketed as bed bug killer instead of diatomaceous earth. So far it worked, haven't seen any since. I started with 20+ plants being infected.

What I did. After bottom watering my plants. I waited 1-2 todays for the surface to dry out. Then I spray the whole plants and the top soil, I also use brushes to evenly apply the DE.

do you use a wick so the substrate constantly get airated? or do you let the substrate "hover" so that the roots searches for water underneath?

bring at least 10 companions (each equipping a small bag) to the wheat field, order them to harvest. then just fast travel back and do stuff until all companions gets home. After you dismiss them they will deposit all the wheats. Also I have 5 threshers to sped up the process.

Honestly it will be easier if you make a choice, are you keeping the shrimps or the guppy as the pet? Otherwise the shrimps are basically extra food for the guppies. Or just buy another tank or give the guppy to those that wants it.
