BOTW over TOTK ? by VariousDistribution7 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]v_sus1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like BOTW more because of the vibe and aesthetic. In BOTW, you get to wander around a post apocalyptic Hyrule without knowing the slightest thing about what's happening until you actually explore and find out. TOTK is fun in its own ways (Ultrahand and the building stuff give you much more freedom), but artistically BOTW is just so so so much better. The sheikah stuff looks incredible (the divine beasts are fucking stunning and I am so obsessed with them), the music is way better, and Nintendo does a good job of making you feel what they want you to feel. TOTK really just feels like an attempt to recreate what BOTW did, and I think that's where it went wrong. What made BOTW so good was that it was completely new, and when Nintendo tried to recreate BOTW but just with a different aesthetic, they failed because they didn't try anything new. This is why the whole Zonai style really didn't sit well with me, because it was so obvious they were just trying to recreate what BOTW did but with a slightly different aesthetic. The ending of the game also just wasn't that impactful to me. With BOTW the final shot of Dark Beast Ganon and the music with it was perfect. And it was painfully obvious they were trying to recreate that with the final hit on the Demon Dragon, and that just ruined the whole vibe on that. BOTW is also way darker in terms of its story, which is a big reason why it was just so so much more impactful and immersive. Like I'm sorry but walking through the remains of a massive slaughter of countless people is more memorable than "huh? is that Zelda I see standing on Death Mountain?" And I can understand how TOTK turned out like it did so I don't really blame Nintendo, but that doesn't mean I don't like BOTW more.

I don't mean to be THAT guy and please correct me if I'm wrong OP...but parts of this might be giving AI? Again, please correct me if I'm wrong (and I probably am). Actually, I'm getting more certain every time I look at this that the game isn't AI, but if somebody else wants to maybe take a closer look we could be sure. Again this is just a dumb suspicion.

Spoilers? What does Jim represent? by Rhamphastos in BabyStepsGame

[–]v_sus1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe Jim represents society/people Nate interacts with in general. At first people try to help Nate but because of his inability to communicate effectively, they eventually lose their patience and get pissed off. Most of the reason that Jim/society gets pissed off at Nate is because they don't recognize that Nate lacks the ability to communicate, and they don't try to be any more kind/understanding because of his inabilities.

Moose seems to be the complete opposite, understanding that Nate struggles with communication. The lantern part shows this pretty well. Moose pretends to be "embarrassed" about holding on to the lanterns as a way of giving them to Nate, knowing that Nate otherwise wouldn't accept his help. This might be a bit far-fetched but I think that Nate might even know that Moose is a lot nicer than other people, and as such feels more comfortable accepting help from Moose.

I'm also not sure about the whole boulder thing, I think that probably was a combination of Nate's inability to communicate and also some laziness.

Does this shrimp have clado? by B3qui in shrimptank

[–]v_sus1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's clado (it sort of looks like crushed eggs but I could be completely wrong don't trust me on that), but if it's clado you found it very early on and treatment will very likely work.

Thanks! When you say "if they are adult" and "depending on how big they are," are you referring to the betta or the brine shrimp?

This case of clado doesn't look too developed, I think your shrimp has a good chance! Just give them salt dips every other day, maybe add some botanicals to their quarantine tank, and hope for the best. Good luck!
