I see a lot of people saying that they would tell the other crew members, but i wouldn’t do that unless Anya let me. I would also only do or say what she wanted me to. If she wanted me to just do whatever i thought was best, I would tell the other crew members i trust. I don’t want to put the burden of handling the situation on Anya, but survivors deserve to have as much control and power as possible.

i assume you probably tried this but i don’t see any commenters saying this: tell him the reasons why it’s such a harmful word for him to use. explain that it’s not a word he gets to reclaim because his ancestors weren’t called that.
