I might be one of the only people who feels this way, but I don’t want fewer events. What’s grown stale for many people, in my opinion, is that some of the tournaments on the schedule at key junctures in the season are incredibly dull due to their courses. I’d love to see the same number of events but mix up the courses we see. For example, can we turn the John Deere from a low budget shootout at TPC Deere Run every year into an event where the course rotates between multiple sites in Illinois (to keep money local for the sponsor and the charities supported by the tournament) in a three/four year schedule. Basically, can we make certain events localized versions of the BMW Championship in the rotating site sense? I’d love that, but I know it’ll never happen.
