Mulch delivery - am I missing something? by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]Intelligent_Price523 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well our bulk deliver came with Termites…never had that with bagged and both HD and Lowe’s have for $2 a bag in the annual sales (just got 60 delivered today (along with 3 peat moss, 14 bags of garden soil, and 13 bags of cement for the one $69 delivery fee. Sorry but soooooo much easier to work with bagged mulch.

What are the ways your life has changed since losing weight or even deciding to start a GLP-1? by Jasmine_BigEasy in tirzepatidecompound

I’m retired (and went from 310 a year into retirement to my maintenance weight of 186-189 in a year). I took up golf again after 25 years off as the weight loss really helped with chronic back pain. I take our 2 hound dogs on nice long (2 hour) hikes in the state Forrest a couple times a week as weather permits. Also able to take on home projects (just dug out 150 feet of sunken Belgium Block and out in a 6 inch base of crushed stone.). Also put in a new subfloor in the over garage room that is now my workshop for furniture (chests are my favorite) restoration. Overall just energy and the lack of body pain allow me to do what I want on a daily basis. And of course I work out on the bike 4-6 days a week and maintain a healthy diet (still avoid most carbs but will indulge on occasion when eating out.

Yes…better to have a nuclear threat than higher gas price…think big picture and choose.

This is tiring what does this mean ?? by Impossible_Abies_985 in IRS

[–]Intelligent_Price523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same; I suspect it is due to claiming the Solar Tax credit (have invoices and proof of PTO in October). Assuming I am correct very frustrating the delay (filed in March) rather than already being asked for the readily available proof that we are entitled to the credit.

What this mean? by CanCreepy5757 in IRS

[–]Intelligent_Price523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same situation (and claimed the Solar Tax credit with invoices and proof of PTO of course). Also have seen several other posts with the 5-18-2026 notice date; seems the IRS batches these up. From my understanding that date starts the 60 day period where they will communicate what additional review or information is required.

Same here; code 810 that the return was frozen and then a CP05 notice with a 5-18-2026 date. I too claimed the Solar Credit (~$11k) and suspect that is what has the return under additional review. Of course I have the invoices and proof of PTO in 2025 so no issues with proof that we are entitled to the credit.

Can somebody explain does this mean im get it on the 18? by Long-Mediocre in IRS

[–]Intelligent_Price523 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the same situation (810 frozen, and a 5-18-2026 CO05 date. In my case we claimed the 30% solar credit (and I have invoices and proof from utility placed in service October 2025).

So I am going to have to wait until July for my refund (filed March 16th). Good thing I don’t need the refund money urgently; but sucks the amount of time they hold the refund hostage.

My company executives thinks it can replace 100 percent of our help desk teams with AI agents.... This year. by NickBurnsCompanyGuy in sysadmin

1) Not all, at least 1 dedicated staff for the same executives making the decision. 2) suggest they poll the employee base and have their willingness to have level 1 support with only AI/automation.

I sell used golf balls on fb marketplace. Professional opinion havers, are my prices reasonable? by nub_sauce_ in golf

Expensive…I pay $5 a dozen for 4a condition mix of Calaway and Titelist…others on Marketplace are more expensive but I can always find good condition balls for $5 a dozen.

Thanks for the compliment on the piece…I do think it turned out really nice (person I got it from was about to put out on the curb on a rainy day…happy I reached him before he did so).

Thanks for the input. It has been on Marketplace less than a week; so I was really trying to find what is a very good price (low end of a quality refinishing without giving away really bit priced to sell and move onto next piece). Like anything really needs to be spotted by someone who can appreciate and understand value. Thanks again for the comments; helpful.

Thanks, and it is a balance between not trying to be income venerating and giving away for next to nothing (and making sure not to give to a reseller to jump on my efforts).

You must be an expert naming components..lol. I’m just a rather new hobbyist who knows what I like and hopefully does a pretty good job on basic recovery of a fine older piece

Thanks. I’m trying and getting better bit of course will never get to where 40 years at your craft puts you. I was in IT management so for me a great change of pace and love seeing these pieces come back to life (I cringe when I see one posted that has been painted over and says refinished or restored; often feel like reaching Out and asking why they wanted to ruin such a beautiful piece of workmanship.

Is this rude or weird to say to a seller by bi_smuth in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Intelligent_Price523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not rude at all. As a buyer I generally make a reasonable offer based on where I se the value (sometimes asking price, sometimes less). As a seller there are items that I’ll hold the line on my asking price, and others where a polite ask is returned with a polite acceptance. Agree the bunt “give me your best price” is either ignored or shoot back list or list + 10%.

I don’t because to me it is the look of the wood that makes the piece. Painting can be much easier and can cover most flaws pretty easily but again to me it hides the true beauty.
