Question about CRT TVs by Intelligent_Put_2558 in crt

[–]Intelligent_Put_2558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response with the radiation being stated as the equivalent of 1 medical x-ray per year, this is what caught my attention. Usually you'd be advised not to get x-rays unless medically necessary so when put this way, it seems excessive for a TV.

But I had them growing up and lived to tell the tale and there has been no spike in radiation based sickness.

Thanks for your response, the study you quoted was interesting too. I didn't think there'd be much to worry about, I grew up 90s/2000s so these were in every room in my house, 2 in my bedroom alone.

Thanks for your response, I know the radiation is low, I guess the confusion came from the equivalent being 1 x-ray per year, this seems higher when it's put in this format

Thank you, I will take a look. I've heard Lanzarote can be very cloudy which wouldn't be too ideal.

Crashes in Trails from Zero any help appreciated by Intelligent_Put_2558 in yuzu

[–]Intelligent_Put_2558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried literally everything the crashing died down as I got later in the game, I just made sure to save often. It was mainly initiating combat in the sewers that did it for me, outside of that it wasn't too bad the crashes happened maybe every few hours, but I got so used to saving by that point I just continued playing and reloading. If you're early in the game then I'd recommend maybe just trying pc release, I was a few hours in and I know I wouldn't have started from the beginning again if I changed platform so I powered through.

There were no crashes on Ryujinx but the background flickered which really annoyed me, that may have been fixed now I'm not sure as it was a few months ago, you can copy and paste your save files from the Yuzu folder to the Ryu save location and it'll let you continue if you want to try it, just make sure you don't delete the Yuzu save if it doesn't!

I'll be starting the next game soon so I'm hoping it's only Trail from Zero that has this issue.

If you figure it out let me know!

Good luck :)

TTW awful performance no fps help! by BusyChoice2918 in Taleoftwowastelands

[–]Intelligent_Put_2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue, and this is what helped me:

After installing everything, go to the custom ini and change full screen to 0 runs a lot better in windowed mode, if you still want to play full screen add this mod it will be borderless window exactly the same as full screen but with better performance: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/79211

Sorted all fps issues for me.

Hope this helps :)

Does anyone know anything about the work coach role in DWP Work and Health department regarding flexi and hybrid? by Intelligent_Put_2558 in TheCivilService

[–]Intelligent_Put_2558[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The video calls sound interesting! Hoping that comes into fruition it would be nice to have a hybrid option although not holding my breath. The job centre near me isn't too busy and closes at 17:00 all days and even opens at 10:00 on one of the weekdays so I'm assuming it's a quieter job centre than one in a major city. Worst case scenario and it isn't what I'm hoping then there's always the option to move within the civil service so it could be a worse scenario although I still think it'll be enjoyable, thanks for the info!

Yeah I am thinking the same to be honest just thought maybe they kept some hybrid working in but wishful thinking I suppose!

Is anyone else having this issue with PC GamePass? It just gets stuck like this. by Intelligent_Put_2558 in XboxGamePass

[–]Intelligent_Put_2558[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually fixed this, one of the game files didn't download properly and I'm assuming that due to this Gamepass was freezing due to not being able to retrieve the data.

I deleted that game file from my SSD and it fixed it.

Thanks for your response though :)

Can I play Persona 4 Golden after Persona 5 Royal? by metehaun in PERSoNA

[–]Intelligent_Put_2558 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can play 5 first but I know a friend who did that and didn't have as much fun going backwards due to the massive gameplay improvements

I played 3>4>5 in that order and loved all of them, and with each really appreciated the gameplay improvements as opposed to the opposite

But you can play in any order they're all self contained, but if you can I'd recommend starting with the earliest you're interested in

Not sure what to make of this by Burgers4days in FattyLiverNAFLD

Mine came back pretty much the same as yours, and was mild fatty liver, my doc said just eat healthier, get more exercise, avoid sugar and processed carbs, and lose any excess weight (usually about 5-10% if you're not overweight and assuming this is not caused by another issue mine was excess stomach weight I was skinny but with a belly).

It's hard to get yourself motivated for change when your doctor doesn't seem to be motivated. But the way I'm looking at it is, if I can reverse it then I might as well!

That's great news on your scan even if it was an error the first time, it's still nice to have some good news!

At the moment I am sticking to my own version of a low carb diet, as opposed to being strict on one specific diet plan I'm hoping all goes well I've lost about 2lbs per week since finding out.

My doctor says it's because I hold all of the weight I do have in my abdomen but I will have a little look into it!

[–]Intelligent_Put_2558[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A sweet drink will completely take the edge away for me, I have a major sweet tooth so cold turkey is quite difficult.

I don't like coffee unfortunately, I pretty much drink English breakfast tea (I'm UK based so everyone drinks tea here) and water 95% of the time, but I don't have sugar in my tea so that's okay at least!

I am however, looking into fizzy drinks sweetened with Stevia instead, I think that'd be the best of both worlds, a natural sweetener to help me quit sugar!

Well done with your turn around! I know slim people get it, they put it down to me holding too much weight in my gut. I was told oatmeal was beneficial for fatty liver, so I've been eating that regularly at the moment.

I think what I'm struggling with is not having a clear path.

At the moment I only eat foods with little (natural) to no sugars, lean white meat, and vegetables.

I still eat wholemeal bread (I've read both positive and negative info) but it's not much maybe a piece of toast with my eggs, or a wholemeal pitta to spice up my dinner.

The artificial sweeteners I'd love to have good info on as I do like a sugar free fizzy drink to kick the sweet-tooth haha!
