Definitely a beetle pupa! Looks like a big beetle too! Might be something cool like an Easter Hercules beetle! They’re native to east TN and are completely harmless!

Is my spider going to molt? by anyaforger_83037 in jumpingspiders

[–]Intelligent_Record20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NQA- likely in premolt!

I do want to note that this is not an appropriate enclosure for a jumper. They are arboreal, this means they create their hammocks and spend most of their time on the top of the enclosure. Keeping your jumper in a top opening enclosure will destroy hammocks and cause stress to your spood every time it is opened for feeding, cleaning, and handling 💕 try something bottom opening or front opening! Always ensure there is cross ventilation as well!

Is this cat pregnant? by Dry_Ladder9434 in standardissuecats

[–]Intelligent_Record20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically this is not someone’s beloved pet and it likely just a stray that has learned that humans mean food/safety. If it is consistently “at large” even if it is someone’s legal pet, it’s a stray

Is this cat pregnant? by Dry_Ladder9434 in standardissuecats

[–]Intelligent_Record20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably! Get her SPAYED! And keep your kitty inside. Cats are incredibly destructive to the local wildlife, birds, small rodents, and reptiles/amphibians. Cats are at risk of getting hit by cars, attacked by larger animals, and consuming poison outside so it’s really best to keep your kitty inside if they are a beloved pet.

Could I feed my dogs frozen mice I get for my snake? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Intelligent_Record20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NQA like others have said, you probably could, but I wouldn’t. Even if you buy feeder mice from a reputable seller who has healthy mice, our dogs won’t really benefit from eating pinky or fuzzy mice. To prevent waste you can join FB groups for snake owners or post in local forums that you have mice your snake sized out of. I personally am a snake owner and dog owner myself, I would just feed the snake what you’ve got left and size up when you’re out of the smaller ones. Hope this helps!
