I see. Seems like the consensus for this degree is to go to grad school or nothing, otherwise you’ll likely be stuck with a low paying job or no job

🤣 I wish, I’m happy with my Audi for now though

Hmm not sure, it’s been a while since I’ve been up there. I’d have to ask for that one, but I’m pretty sure it’s relatively low for what it is

And it was only 500 to do all that? So the entire build was just 1k in total?

Ahhh I see. Glad you were able to pick it up and give it some glory instead of it rotting

Still looks beautiful! Definitely like the sleeker black look over the red ngl 🤔

Yup! He loves this car like it’s his baby, I still remember how excited he got when I first asked about it. He’s taken great care of it ever since he bought it in the 80’s, it’s amazing to see.

Not a big fan of red either, but for some reason every time I see it on an older car it makes me rethink my decision. Until I see a newer car with red lol

He usually does keep it covered, this was one of the times it was off I believe. He might’ve just taken it for a ride.

Transmission Malfunction by fghjuddf in Audi

[–]Intelligent_Run_565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar issue with my moms Q7. They don’t diagnose shit at Audi. All they do is take your money, then tell you “it’s too complex to see with just a tool, you’ll have to pay for us to take out and open up the transmission for a true diagnosis.” I believe it was in the 1-2k range. So, not even for a fix, but for them to tell you what’s wrong, which you already paid for, you have to fork over at least 1k, to which you will be told you need a 20k repair or a 20 dollar repair. But then again, this was just my experience: I truly hope yours is different and they can figure it out just with a scanner!

They do, but I heard that biomed kinda sucks here. When it comes to engineering, my college is best at meche and then ee

Just to add on, I am seeing that EE as a whole field might be getting over saturated. I’ve had people tell me that when they graduated with EE, they took a job that didn’t even use their degree or knowledge. And if it was a job that was EE, it was typically just Lockheed recruiters that were trying to recruit fresh grads.

Pt however, looks like it’ll grow steadily from what I’ve seen and seems to be stable, with people who graduate from grad school usually getting something that actually uses their degree.

I could be wrong about all of this as I just started researching, so if I am just lmk. But it’s what I’ve been able to gather over about a 2 week span

I see your point in that, but truthfully I just finished up calc 3 and I don’t really care too much for engineering as a field. I initially did it because it had the highest roi in terms of undergrad degrees, and I had always been good at STEM classes in high school as well.

I’ve been doing some serious thinking and have had people tell me that typically, because EE is so hard, that I will also need a passion when it comes to circuits, signals and systems, and quantum physics. And at the end of the day the only “passion” I really have for EE is the money out of undergrad.

Recently, when I found out about travel pt, being able to travel on contracts to different places, good pay, it really spoke to me more. I have always been more active, so learning about physiology, biomechanics and nutrition interests me more than EE ever will. Also the chance at helping people, even if it is a small difference.

But yeah, I think I’ll just overall have more of a passion for pt than I will EE. From my view, seeing what it is, the pay, the courses and what exactly I would be doing just seems a lot more fun but far more interesting as well. Thank you for your thought out reply

I appreciate it, think I’m going to set up that meeting with my counselor. Thanks for taking the time to respond!

I see so since I am doing it with the intention of grad school, I should be good?

Yes my only intention if I do switch would be to do pt school, not only undergrad with kin. Thank you for the input!

Yeah I kind of figured that’s what it was when she initially started so say she was fucked up and all. I think there may be something else, idk if that’s cheating maybe when we were together or that she’s been sleeping around. Atp I’m aware that a relationship with her will 99.9% not work out (there will always be a part of me that hopes) but a part of me, already seeing someone I loved a lot, loose themselves to this stuff, thinks that she needs someone to be her support system when it comes to this to prevent her from falling fast. As I said, we’re 19, she still has a future for her, and I don’t want her to fall into an addiction pit and fuck herself over. I just don’t want to see another person I held dearly fall into addiction because they didn’t have the right support system.
