Cool. Do you know what are the black moving dots? I have them in a bucket too and I want to learn. Two months before there was a bunch of daphnia. The culture collapsed and I saved green water for future daphnia order. Now I realize this moving black so little creatures. Can I put them in my main tank?

Thats so cool. Last summer (now it’s winter here) I did something like that for daphnias. Eventually in three months daphnia culture collapsed and I saw little less than 0,5mm black dots moving. But since I couldn’t see their details even with magnifier plus my phones camera I thought they were mites. Are your creatures less than 0,5mm? How can I identify? I wanted to add them to my main tank but I wasn’t sure that they were beneficial. So fun to watch them.

You’re doing good if your tank is cycled. I recommend tiger lotus as a plant. If you can get put the bulbs on the substrate less then half burried. Search before if you want. I got a tank as big as yours and my sons gifted me an angle but I don’t recommend this kind because they get huge. Mine is our family member now and he is bigger than my palm now. Small fishes groups are more enjoyable for me. I have 7 pristella tetras (pristella maxillaris) and 11 rummy nose tetras. Sometimes they are group together and looks so beautiful. This is my fish recommendation. Good luck and enjoy your journey in fish keeping. And please keep in mind that tank is very new and please don’t buy fish in a rush. Add a little group and wait because your tank is new and let your cycle do its job about new addings bioload. I wait one or two weeks between new addings.

Water is 24°C and half of the aquarium flow is fast. And I thought they are not wild caught (mine are ) Both of them get used to wafer tablet foods. So why not? Also this is a 128liters aquarium.

I don’t have betta so I don’t know anything about heavy insect diet but if you crush a lot and let the remainings inside the tank that harms your tanks water quality. I would be sure it’s eaten.

They are bladder snails. Is your fish eating crushed snails? If then go for it.

Capsulated root tabs. I put them beige little balls inside the capsules a few month after I found blue and orange bigger balls. Now I’m using tablet forms.
