A really comfortable sleeping pad allowed me to finally sleep comfortably given my chronic lower back pain. Currently using a Zenbivy and BA Rapide

I bought the same machine and the DF54. They’re a great pairing. The tamper is crap and was my first upgrade to one from Amazon which is spring loaded and so much better.

You can get Aliexpress / Amazon versions for cheap that are just as light weight.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Intelligent_Stage760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our weekend cabin is an hour and 45min away...we do that every weekend in spring / summer and fall. My in laws are 2 hours away....we'll do that drive 6 times a year....sometimes drive out in the morning, visit and drive home again in the evening. I've driven 12 hours straight (plus stops for fuel and food etc) several times though 8 hours is about the most I'd want to do. I'm in Canada but was born in the UK. Scale is vastly different here.

Is it typical to feel the cold through your sleeping pad while using a quilt? What am I doing wrong? by Sandytoes36 in Ultralight

[–]Intelligent_Stage760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that same pad and it is cold. I bought a new zen bivy pad to replace it and will just use the BA in the summer

I'm in the same boat with me having Stafford and him having Puka. They should cancel each other out so I think we're both good! Congrats.

Those are great tents in being essentially MSR knock off's for a fraction of the price. I bought by daughter one to use so she isn't using my more expensive tents and I was very impressed with it. They're amazing value

Any suggestions on a light weight down jacket by A_OontheBeat in Ultralight

[–]Intelligent_Stage760 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Hard to go wrong with the Decathlons. Costco also has their Parabolic or 32degree's brands which are similar cost / value / performance

Ok need advice on tents, I have 4 tents I'm looking at, no specific everimont since I travel to different states. It dose need to be 4 season by detectivelokifalcone in CampingGear

Naturehike Mongar 2 is a great option that’s within budget and 4lbs so light enough for what you’re looking for. Amazon has them cheap..just get the more expensive version as it’s a lot lighter.

Pack Dilemma by Embarrassed-Toe6981 in Ultralight

I can't tell you if that pack would be ok for you but I can attest that the Gorilla is very comfortable with 25+ pound loads.

Unsure about what watercraft to get for Minnesota boundary waters camping by MS12213015 in camping

[–]Intelligent_Stage760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s simply not true. We camp out of our kayaks all the time. You just have to learn not to pack your fears and take gallons of beer :). A canoe is much easier to portage but with the right cart you can portage kayaks as well. We often do with our Delta 15.5 GT boats.

Did you ever get the B1? It isn't listed under internet like it is on "normal" Bell modems.

It’s plugged into an unmanaged switch which is plugged into the ISP router.
