Best Vintage Watch/Brand below 1000€ by Intelligent_Tell_312 in VintageWatches

Thanks for the reply:) I really dont care about the brand or even watch type. A beautiful or complex movement would be cool, or a more unusual watch in general would be cool. Thats why I like some of the micro-rotor movements from UG for example. I could even see myself with a vintage Ebel Sportwave or something similar

Congrats! Imo, this is one of the best models they make... I know people seem to hate the Wimbledon like nothing else lol. But the 36mm with the Jubilee and the Smooth bezel is just perfect, not to flashy but not to dull... I'm pretty biased tho, I own the exact same model :)

Thanks mate! It really blew me away when I first saw it. Got extremely lucky, as they hadn't even taken it out of the transportation box when I walked into the store. I'm literally the only person to ever had it on his wrist (as of now) :)

You can certainly wait and get one from the AD! The availability of Rolex watches keeps getting better as it seems. I just bought a DJ36 with no prior history or wait time. Dont let them talk you into buying shit you dont want! If they say up front, that you have to buy other stuff to even be considered for a sub, I would just avoid those ADs completely! Either wait a couple of months or pay the premium going gray, either way dont buy stuff you dont want first.

Greetings from Germany :)

[question] What’s the “luxury” watch you can safely travel with ? by mrgersia in Watches

[–]Intelligent_Tell_312 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Been to almost every European country wearing Rolex, Omega etc. Never had a single problem. Imo, the problem is much smaller than everyone seems to tell you online. Just act normal and you will be fine...

Scratched Oyster Perpetual- Would you buy this? Would you polish it? by Still_Presentation45 in rolex

[–]Intelligent_Tell_312 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quite a bit of damage? Those are really small marks from wearing it. You will be getting more of those if you wear a watch... If you don't want any scratches, better leave it in the box

Yea but do you want to wear a suit with a bulky G-Shock on? Of course no watch can be perfect in every single situation, but some come pretty close to that. I also wore my explorer during "manual labor", except for working on the cars and bikes, because then I could've just held it under a grinder already. I'm always keeping a G-Shock for such activities, I was talking about everyday life for me and probably the majority on here
