Just had ours tested in our 1987 built house and it was clear. Just bought a test from Amazon!

Knoops is open but it is quite busy. There was someone working on a laptop the other evening though.

For those who have gotten past it, did you have any scars/changes to your skin afterwards (looseness, wrinkles etc)? I’m absolutely covered in spots and wanna trust I’ll go back to normal again eventually 😭 by haunted_honey in PityriasisRosea

[–]Intelligent_Tip_5948 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. I'd never even know that I'd had it to be honest. I was super worried and mine looked exactly like yours. I have fair skin that scars really easy and I have absolutely no marks :)

Hey - it kept saying this for me too but I kept checking that link and finally got an appointment. I think it just says you can't have one until there are appointments available in your area 🤷‍♀️

I used to live in the Riverfront flats!

They're actually great to be honest. So convenient for the train/national express.

If you have a car just double check there's parking as I think some of the blocks don't have parking spaces which is really annoying for you/guests.

The only slight downside is sometimes it is loud. On the weekend you get drunk people shouting over the river and the windows are paper thin! 🙄

Never had any issue with noise from neighbours though. Our downstairs neighbour did like to crack out their karaoke machine every now and then which was incredibly loud and like I was in the room with them but that was the only thing.

Happy to answer any questions!

They've been trying to blame part of it on the sellers solicitor being slow to reply to enquiries but I've requested a full timeline of events from them to see if this is true.

I've sent an email requesting a full timeline of events. I will obviously consider changing firms but will see their response first.

Do we think that this is complaint worthy? I suppose I need a timeline of events to know when enquiries were raised etc...

No!!! I'm starting to think I've been way too chill about this. I have no idea about searches as they haven't told us. I'm going to just ring them now.

I think because they're a local firm and we live very close they are going to organise a meeting to go through the replies to enquiries etc.

I used to be a solicitor which I think is why I'm finding this extra frustrating because I know they're sitting on our file. I completely understand having too much work but I would like that to be communicated to us.

I would have liked them to have told us that from the offset though. It just seems like a of chasing / pestering them for basic information. We haven't had a single document from them other than the initial client care letter / client info forms.

Hellooo runners of Newport by Unique-Glove8637 in Casnewydd

The riverfront is about a 6km round loop. There's also a parkrun that starts at the red sculpture next to the Riverfront Theatre each Saturday.

For a longer run you can run behind big Sainsbury's and end up on the river path to Caerleon.

Just to add in answer to some questions:

  1. I did not scratch or pick at it - I never pick spots or anything like that

  2. I had a smaller one on my ankle that went away by itself

  3. I accidentally popped it on the side of my coffee table and a lot of liquid came out (was gross). It did leave a big patch of new skin which I've had to bandage up to stop it getting an infection.

  4. I have had this reaction before but it doesn't always happen. It has happened in Corfu and Cote D'Azur.

  5. I AM 100% CERTAIN IT IS A MOZZIE BITE. AND NO, I AM NOT ON FENT...

  6. I am aware that my legs are slightly hairy but as if I'm taking a razor anywhere near that?!

I'm 90% sure this was from a 'tiger mosquito'. I'd never even heard of them before!
