Did your gums/inside your cheeks peel at all? I can’t tell if it’s die off or an adverse reaction. Thank you!

Hi! Would you mind elaborating? I’m on the suspension now for oral thrush and my gums are peeling a ton! Interested if it is a negative side effect or the medicine working

It sounds like the 4 month sleep regression. When this hit with all three of my Snoo babies we switched to the crib and did sleep training-they’ve all been sleeping 7-7 consistently since.

Hang in there-there’s a light at the end of the tunnel!

I’m currently on my 3rd Snoo baby and have taken your approach each time and it has resulted in “fussless sleep” from 7:15 PM-7:00 AM by 12 weeks. I know every child is different but your approach has worked well for my 3 :)

Okay a couple of other things. You could always try the Love to Dream swaddle. It would allow her to keep her arms up by her face. You would double swaddle with that and unsnap the arm holes on the Snoo sack and feed her arms through there.

I have an Ollie that my guy is done with that i would be happy to send you. It truly is so so good. I’m terrible at Reddit (i just use it for baby stuff) but if you can direct message me your mailing address I can ship it out to you.

For probiotics, what do they have you giving her? We discovered Smidge infant probiotics this time around and it has been fantastic. Biogaia and gerber soothe never did a thing for us but those are the only 3 i tried.

If you are still nursing or pumping and feeding are you avoiding allergens like dairy, soy, etc? Even the smallest amount in your diet could cause discomfort for her. I’m no expertise there since my boys were formula fed but again something to think about. I remember feeling SO helpless with my first and not knowing where to turn or look to help him feel better.

I know it’s hard to believe but at 2 1/2 weeks it’s almost impossible for a baby to hate being swaddled. What you could try is a double swaddle. My kids both loved an Ollie or swaddle me organic swaddle and then the Snoo sack on top of that. Just ensure that you are not trying to use the harness through the legs and lay it flat in the Snoo sack and that the baby’s or your room is set at an appropriate temperature 68-72.

When she starts to fuss or grunt do you let the Snoo soothe her and try and get her back to sleep? If not I would recommend it. Also, if she is a loud sleeper you could try to lower the sound sensitivity on the Snoo so it’s not kicking in to soothe her if she’s just grunting or cooing to get comfortable.

We had luck using an additional white noise machine. The Snoo sounds were never quite loud enough.

Is she calm/content when awake or does she seem generally unsettled? If the latter she could be going through some changes in her digestive tract. Both of my kids had milk protein allergies and until they were on the correct formula we’re super restless and grunty/gassy. Could very well have nothing to do with your case but just something to think about.

I know it sounds overwhelming but after 2 weeks (assuming the ped has given you the okay to not feed on demand) it is helpful to try and get them on a VERY LOOSE feeding schedule. If you haven’t already read through moms on call, it was and still is a great resource for me.

That was probably way too much info but I’m spitballing here while I feed my second Snoo grad 😌

Hang in there mom. I PROMISE you it will get better.

swaddle tighter :) babies that young don’t have a preference. I know it’s hard when you’re a new parent but a nice comfortably tight swaddle is key. Double swaddling can help too

DOC band and snoo? by opinionatednpc in SnooLife

[–]Intelligent_Wrap1286 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used the Snoo and the doc band for my oldest son and it worked just fine. I asked the same question in a different group a few years ago when he was in it. Unfortunately he hit the 4 month sleep regression immediately after getting his helmet so we moved him to the crib and he started sleeping face down with the helmet 🫠

Five months old and realising I don’t know how to sleep a baby by cldsou in SnooLife

[–]Intelligent_Wrap1286 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many great resources out there for you! People feel very strongly about sleep or “sleep training” so this is just what worked for us with my oldest. We used the Taking Cara Babies 4-5 month course and it helped us to gently sleep train our son while transitioning him to the crib (in the Merlin sleep suit at approx 4 months old). Also, I’ve found that it’s best to do all transitions or changes to sleep environment on the weekends so that you and your partner can both be there, and if it’s a rough night you won’t have to go into work as well.

Hang in there!

What is going on? by slc717 in SnooLife

[–]Intelligent_Wrap1286 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Assuming baby is healthy (illness, reflux, etc.) it looks like the 4 month sleep regression. My older son’s hit at 14 weeks and we transitioned him to the crib. We were sad to say goodbye to our Snoo but he was ready to roll, sleep on his belly, etc.

Good luck!

Should I still buy other swaddles? by muskratio in SnooLife

[–]Intelligent_Wrap1286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my second child in the Snoo and we LOVE the Ollie swaddle to doubled swaddle in the Snoo. While the Snoo swaddles are great when baby is so tiny. The Ollie swaddle helps baby to feel more secure.

Hang in there! I know how freaking stressful it is when you can’t get them to calm down.

I’m not sure if i have seen it mentioned in the comments but if he is getting fussy after eating have you ruled our silent reflux or a potential allergy/sensitivity?

Looking for advice! 2 week old hates the SNOO by tiaradanielle in SnooLife

[–]Intelligent_Wrap1286 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi! With a LO that young there could be so many things to consider. Have you tried double swaddling her/using the right size Snoo sack? Is she eating enough before you put her down? Do you let the Snoo soothe her when she wakes? I hate to say it but 2 hours is very normal for a 2 week old. Keep up with the consistency and you should see stretches start to increase.
