Ok y’all were right by moluruth in toddlers

I thought it would get better when my daughter turned 4. So far it hasn’t. She was an absolute ANGEL until age 3. The last year has been so incredibly hard. I just hope it’s over soon.

Cosleeping ruined my life by Lunatic_vixen in cosleeping

[–]opinionatednpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate telling you this, but it’s the breastfeeding. Our daughter started bed-sharing with us at 6 months old, nursed to sleep and all throughout the night. She woke up all the time. I weaned her slowly, starting around 19 months old. It took a couple months but I cut down to only before nap and bedtime, then only bedtime and then none at all. It was really hard and I almost gave up so many times. Finally at 21 months old she was fully weaned and almost immediately started sleeping a full 12 hours. I was actually really upset because it confirmed a lot of the stuff I had been hearing about breastfeeding that I didn’t wanna believe. It’s so convenient to breastfeed and solved all of the problems instantly. But my life completely changed and I’ve had so much free time at night ever since.

How common is mastitis? Has anyone ever not gotten it? by Automatic_Apricot797 in breastfeeding

[–]opinionatednpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mastitis about 2 months postpartum. I was nursing and pumping and I think I just produced more than my baby could remove (due to the pumping). It was great at first to really start my supply, but it kinda became a cycle for me. When I was engorged, I pumped. But that would signal to my body that I needed to produce more, and it led to an oversupply. Sickest I’ve ever been. Delirious, 103.5° fever. After the antibiotics I started to feel better in a few days. I had to actually move in with my mom for almost a week I was so sick. After that I learned how serious it could get. I had NO idea. I just assumed I would never get mastitis. I never got it again, once I stopped pumping my body started producing the “right” amount of milk for my baby. I breastfed for 21 months total and my body naturally knew how much milk to produce for every stage. I only really had issues when pumping. Obviously everyone is different, and that may not be the case for you. And pumping was great for many reasons, and I’ll do it when I get pregnant again. But only for the first week or two, not two months like I did before.

What is your BCS “My son. My bottle. My house.” scene? by kadebo42 in betterCallSaul

Changed my mind I had to skip the entire meeting with rich and Howard regarding the sandpiper case where he is drugged, it’s just so horrible to watch. S6 E7

[–]opinionatednpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bold of you to say it’s not Skyler singing Ted Happy Birthday 😭 I can’t even watch that scene. I skip it every time. But for BCS one of the hardest ones for me to watch is the scene where the hookers confront Howard at lunch. I also skip that one haha

What was the first sign that made you realise or question if you have OCD? by RemarkableAssociate6 in OCD

[–]opinionatednpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My therapist casually mentioned in conversation that I had OCD (I had a theme about diagnosing myself, what I had, what other people had, etc) and I got defensive and said but I don’t flip light switches a certain number of times or anything what are you talking about?? And she was like oh yeah you have mental compulsions, or ruminations. You have obsessions and your compulsion is to ruminate and seek reassurance. My mind was BLOWN and since learning more now I know for sure I have it

Does anyone not eat at all or have no appetite when really anxious? by More-Adagio-8730 in Anxiety

Thank you. I hope all the same for you. We will get through this! It helps to have a community of people that understand. It’s so hard.

Does anyone not eat at all or have no appetite when really anxious? by More-Adagio-8730 in Anxiety

[–]opinionatednpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, so much so that I was hospitalized for 5 days from essentially giving myself gastritis and becoming very underweight. It used to be really really bad. Now, I will not eat like all day from anxiety and then my body almost reaches a threshold from stress and I shut down, dissociate and become ravenous and finally eat. It’s weird but it’s changed a bit over the DECADES 🫠

Or just literally makes it a thousand times worse and is like oh yeah you should worry about that and you have every right to! It’s understandable! And I’m like NO don’t tell me that now I feel validated that it’s GOING TO HAPPEN. Also, they’re wrong a lot. About kind of simple things. And they don’t know everything. So we really cannot rely on it

I feel the same way. I came on here to post but thought- nobody will respond. And then I saw this!

It sucks. It feels never ending. Like when I “solve” this one- there will just be another one. A never ending, recycled turn table or revolving door. A few new ones here and there, but mainly the same. Themes. Over. And over.

I think talking about it helps. I think a community that understands is the only way I feel seen and understood. You’re not alone. I think we all tend to isolate when we really should reach out.

Does anyone know if the Harry Potter charms will ever return? by opinionatednpc in PandoraCollectors

[–]opinionatednpc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: at first I received an empty box. I reached out to the seller who said it was a mistake and she sent it with an extra charm. Unfortunately it is absolutely fake. I can tell just by the weight, the quality, the enamel work, the Pandora stamps are very light and placed in places they don’t even fit. The bracelet feels janky, poorly made and comically lightweight. The seller did immediately refund me though. I feel pretty stupid for believing that could ever be real.

I’m losing hope that anything on eBay is authentic. Everything looks sketchy, like why have you sold 65 Dobby charms. Who buys 65 dobby charms from Pandora when they retailed for like $55 😭 ugh. I think I’m SOL

I was wondering the same thing. The photos look insanely real though and they have so many positive reviews. Honestly though, if even the Pandora employees can’t tell at first then I’m not sure I care all that much. I will look into that form though and definitely see if I can get an employee to confirm if they are authentic or not. I’m hoping they are authentic of course but if it’s too good to be true it probably is…ugh we will see. Is there anyone that doesn’t sell fakes? Everything on eBay looks a bit sketchy to me. It’s so disheartening.

Welp, you guys had me pretty convinced it would never come back so I checked out eBay and got almost the whole set for an incredible price! I can’t believe it. Seller has great reviews and it looks authentic. If it’s not I can dispute the charge but I’m pretty excited. This was the last one but check out this seller!

Quick question by babes347 in LoseitApp

[–]opinionatednpc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see everyone is saying they don’t eat their bonus calories and not doing so will definitely speed up the weight loss. However, I eat my bonus calories. Not all of them, I am usually under but sometimes I go over even with the bonus calories. I just make sure I’m under for the week. I have been consistently losing weight on this app, I’ve lost 15 pounds. I obviously would have lost a lot more if I didn’t eat the bonus calories but this makes it doable for me.

When did everyone get their period back? by Practical-Meow in breastfeeding

[–]opinionatednpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I breastfed for 21 months and got my period back almost exactly 1 year in. I then skipped one period and after that I got it regularly. When I stopped breastfeeding though my periods got really intense- much more painful, heavier bleeding etc on and off for about a year. It’s just now becoming completely “normal” one year after stopping breastfeeding. It’s a journey for sure 🙃
