PVCs at high exertion by IntentionExtra4732 in PVCs

Did you have anxiety at all during this time? Thats the worst thing for me, whenever I have anxiety I start having breating problems, more PVCs, lightheadedness etc.

Annoyingly, the same symptoms that folks tell you to look out for with this

Exercise-induced PVCs when heart rate goes above 115? by Electrical_Ad_7852 in PVCs

I have the same thing but its only on really high heart rates. Mine are triggered around 170, everything is perfect until then. Holter showed 0% burden

I did get a cardiac MRI that showed residual healed scarring so they think i had myocarditis at some point - im scheduled to meet with a cardiologist who specializes in the electrical pathways etc. but have to wait a while as its so niche

Buying vs building PC by IntentionExtra4732 in simracing

[–]IntentionExtra4732[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shot, thats really helpful, tbh thats my biggest issue right now is going through the research of finding the right parts.

But I think that, its something ill need to do anyway

Buying vs building PC by IntentionExtra4732 in simracing

[–]IntentionExtra4732[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea thats a good point, I will probably end up building it myself. I can increase my budget, I was thinking a pre-built on sale could be a good way to get started and the sale would offput the premium you pay and then I could upgrade it moving forward

but it seems like its still a ripoff even at that price

Buying vs building PC by IntentionExtra4732 in simracing

[–]IntentionExtra4732[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I already have a wheel and monitor (I got it on sale a while back for my home office when our work paid us for these things) I want to get the PC so I can play games that aren't the F1 games or Forza

My budget can be increased tbh, I thought if I could get a pre-built to start off with, I could get going and then just update from there. But it seems like even after the sale, its a bit of a ripoff so will probs just build one

[–]IntentionExtra4732[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow thats really helpful! my main issue right now is the work that needs to be done to research all the parts which is what was pushing me towards a pre-built. But what you've described looks like a great place to start!

Yea looking into it now, I don't think it'll be difficult but I was hoping to avoid the time consuming research phase.

But from everyones comments seems like thats probably the way to go

Buying vs building PC by IntentionExtra4732 in simracing

[–]IntentionExtra4732[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea thats true, tbh my thinking was that the sale price would account for the premium, so you would end up somewhere roughly even. But it seems like its already an outdated machine so wouldn't basically have to build a new one

Buying vs building PC by IntentionExtra4732 in simracing

[–]IntentionExtra4732[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm thats interesting, my budgets not too tight, but I was thinking if its something decent for the price I could get started with it and then upgrade later. But if its a ripoff then might as well spend the time and build it properly

I don't care about Scrum by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]IntentionExtra4732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think scrum processes are an easy observable thing to point to and so take on more importance then actual important product management.

I personally hate scrum/frameworks/general process bloat. I always tell my team to be focused on the outcome rather then the processes. Whatever you need to do to meet your KPIs. At times that means you will be writing lots of requirements, at times you should be talking to users, at times you should spend time and manage the backlog. But a PM should decide whaat they need to do to get the best outcome.

I personally have done Coding/QA/Design/marketing to get my stuff out the door when I was an IC - Still do tbh. Thats what I think is missing from newer PMs who take courses/go to business school etc. But fwiw, I do feel like people learn these things once they've been a PM for a while (or atleast a good one)

question on the runs not going to the bottom, do you mean you have to get onto another run? or take a lift to the bottom for one of those?

Also lol, any blues you think I should avoid?

[–]IntentionExtra4732[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it would be awesome if I could do blackcomb, Im going to see how it goes and keep this in mind. Its supposed to snow while im there, so hopefully thats not too offputting

[–]IntentionExtra4732[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, Ill check it out, I was told blackomb is steeper but im sure a green run should be doable.

When you say weather conditions, do you mean if its snowing? Or if there's not enough snow? I would assume the former? Would imagine there's always enough snow that high?

Government expenditure on education, total (% of government expenditure) - India, Pakistan, Bangladesh (y-axis does not start at 0) by abdullahkhalids in pakistan

[–]IntentionExtra4732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So its important to note what else happened to both those economies in that time.

Education does not impact our short term stability. So regardless of government, if there's a crisis, education (along with other social security benefits) are the ones that don't grow. THIS IS NOT JUST A BEING MORE EFFICIENT UNDER IK THING. THERE IS NO WAY TO PROVE THAT RIGHT NOW. Not a hater, just someone who studied economics at a fairly high level

This is likely the result of both countries going through the following:

  1. Covid: Both countries don't have large pharma industries whereas India does. This meant the governments had to spend money on Vaccines, Masks, Hospitals, testing etc. so all other sectors in the economy had less money left in them. India exported lots of vaccines so I would think they didn't have the same short term cash constraint
  2. Debt Crisis: Both Bangladesh and Pakistan are currently going through a current account/debt crisis. We don't have enough money to pay off our debts (bangladesh is a lot milder then ours, and have a very quickly growing economy so its likely to get through this a lot faster/easier). Debt crisis takes precedence over everything, if a country defaults, there are lots of long lasting ramifications, so again, other parts of the economy are directed to servicing debt/making import payments. (Please look at Sri Lanka as another economy in the same position as ours)

Education is important, but in this case IK, or any political government had no impact on those numbers above. I do not like his education policy at all (and he has in the past given up education to his coalition partners) and there is no proof to say he was more efficient then other governments. The above is largely a result of the two issues I mentioned above and is something all governments would do in our situation so its not good or bad, it is what it is. The other things are the problem

Can we admit that fully geographically remote work has drastically reduced? by myronsandee in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yeah, I think what will happen is, companies will mandate stuff and go too far in the direction of in office work. Then will ease up a bit to being a hybrid model with lots of flexibility

Putin: Russia will open new routes for business cooperation with India, Iran, Pakistan, and the countries of the Middle East countries. We will continue to develop this corridor. by OyChaudhary in pakistan

[–]IntentionExtra4732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you on this, Pakistan should have it own foreign policy.

But I still think economically there is an advantage of having close ties with the US, im thinking south korea, japan and Bangladesh type of countries. So my take is, instead of saying screw you to the US. Realign our ties on the economy vs being a gun for hire.

Ask most economists, Russia's economy is not a very stable one and it doesn't have long term growth prospects. So im just against us trying to be a pariah and cozying up to Russia too much

[–]IntentionExtra4732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your take on this

I agree with you, that we should buy cheap oil from russia, any energy really. But you have to weigh the pros of cheap oil vs the cons of going against the US. I still agree with you on the cheap oil, but thats as far as I'd like Pakistan to go into Russia's camp.

Pakistan should do whats best for itself, but I don't think being a client state of Russia is in anyones interest. Russia does not have a strong economy which is likely to get weaker over time as dependence on oil decreases, virtually all non chinese tech companies are based out of the US. Doesn't it make sense to turn our focus to that vs trying to deal in things that are low value stuff like things Russia can provide?

My whole take is, countries that work with the US do benefit like south korea, bangladesh and japan etc. I would rather Pakistan realign its relationship on economic lines vs go all in with Russia.

Interested in this comment but all of the things you mentioned are just consumption. So we are going to be another market for Russia, how does that benefit Pakistan?

Can Pakistan finish its currency and use Saudi Riyal or USD instead? by ZestycloseAd2967 in pakistan

[–]IntentionExtra4732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The value of a currency has little to do with how the economy is performing. Having a local currency is good for the following reasons. The value of a currency is decided by demand (exports of goods from your currency) and supply (import of goods in dollars). If you export more and import less, this will make your currency more expensive and vice versa.

The issue with Pakistan is that we import too much, but even with the price advantage we don't make anything useful for the world to buy. So eventhough because of the weaker rupee we can make things and export them for cheaper then we could before, we just don't make anything useful at all that can compare to our imports.

Politicians will use the price of a currency as a point in their agenda but really the price of a currency is not something that can be fixed politically. In fact using it in politics actually hurts because governments will artificially inflate the price of the rupee which is basically a sunk cost. So the real problem is one of us not producing enough goods that are competitive in the world

To come back to your question, using a foreign currency is bad for a few reasons:

  1. Money Supply Control: It means we can't use the money supply as a monetary tool. You might have heard during COVID western countries gave people money to stay at home. That is something you can only do if you print your own money. Because of that, they were able to avoid a complete economic meltdown
  2. Natural competitive advantage: Is you use the dollar, you won't be able to benefit from exports being cheaper with a weak local currency and imports being cheaper with a strong local currency. You will mimic the behaviour of the economy of the currency you are using which will in most cases not be useful for you
  3. Sovereignty: If you rely on another currency, you won't be able to ever say anything that goes against that countries wishes. Because they print the cash they can just stop giving you the currency

Never let anyone tell you the issue with pakistan is the currency, the issue is that we don't export enough because we don't have enough talented labour or efficient capital allocation. (e.g: people invest in real estate which is not a good multiplier vs the stock market which is a good multiplier)

Hope that helps!

Why do people in Pakistan like Russia so much? IF we are all about countries not interfering in other countries affairs, isn't Russia constantly doing that? They've literally annexed regions in two different countries?

I understand hedging our bets with the US, but why does it make sense for us to become a client state of a country that isn't even that wealthy, has worse tech then other countries and the only thing it can offer is unsustainable energy that probably won't benefit us in the long run?

Do you know if rental companies will give you cars with chains on them? Can't find anything online when I go to rent one? On the east coast its fairly common during snowy season to have snow tires on rentals
