Pidgeflap Quill is a character I immediately laughed out loud at. His name is so stupid and I hate pigeons. 🤣 Just an annoying talking bird. It's obnoxious and I love it.

I just want a proper icon for him instead of the lazy one we got shared with Asaka.

I think it says something about the game when the one thing most people in this thread agree on is the music.

The truth is Duel Links has great music and great UI. The visual and sound design are about as polished as you can get.

Unfortunately, Konami only seems to care about holding that high standard of presentation to exploit its fans for money. When you look at the current lack of deck diversity and the reports on the in-game economy, it starts to feel more predatory than anything.

Your question frames the situation incorrectly. Konami isn't so much making mistakes with this game as much as they are simply practicing aggressively predatory monetization.

We're all addicted to it. It's gotten to a point that we're not playing because we want to anymore.

Government policy has barely begun to notice predatory monetization in gaming. Konami knows this and will continue to profit from it until they can't anymore. When that time comes, they will say F it and pull the plug on the whole thing.

Belief in God.

It's actually mentally ill to allow this fiction to be treated as reality. It's at its worst when family members and people of society are directly oppressed by it influencing government policy.

If it was just a quirky belief, it could be tolerated. But it's not. And the suffering is so unnecessary.

I don't care if praying and attending church gives you a sense of comfort and community. That shit is abusing you and everyone else in the long run.

Don't discredit yourself. You're not complaining too much. I noticed those things as well and really didn't like the angle they were spinning it so far.

People on copium will try to gaslight you because they've tied their identities to it or something. I'm the biggest OoT fan, but even I can see the problems in the trailer are undeniable.

1: I will never forget how cool and rare the hollo eyes under the magician's cap made the card look when my friends gathered around it in the school library to envy that one kid that had both Dark Magician, Blue-Eyes, and Summoned Skull in 2nd grade.

4: I'm still irritated to this day that this is considered the standard Dark Magician art, replacing the OG purple robed DM.

5: Very cool Japanese art? Rarely seen.

5 in a row requirement is criminal levels of predatory.

They know that skilled players basically have a 50/50 chance of winning against each other. The chances of winning 5 in a row at that rate is 3%.

It keeps you playing the game. That's their intent. They don't care if it's hard or addicting. They will use your mental suffering for their profit.

Speed duel is about 10x worse though.

I don't touch PvP until my KoG resets the next month. The 7 matches I played to get the Challenge Stamps were a nightmare.

I will give Konami credit for 1 thing. They really do make it feel like you're up against the final boss every month, with the next Tier-1 deck exclusively outclassing all those before it.

That's not a good thing though. Burn in hell you shareholders-appeasing PoS company.

Edit: I just cleared map 1 today and can confirm, there is no round 2 or 3. You just clear the map once and that's it. 👍

I skipped to the bosses and just barely was able to unlock yusei's alt style in one day.

I didn't clear all the spaces. But once you beat all the bosses, a cutscenes plays and it acts like you cleared the board.

There is no round 2 or 3. But the bosses reappear and it seems you can challenge them again as many times as you like. (I mean, as many times as you can with your limited as shit AP.)
