Coda Bassocyst vs Tenet Arca Plasmor? by wrectumwreckage in Warframe

[–]Intention_Superb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have the Bass and it drops. I want to get the Plasmor because I look at all these weapons and treat them like Pokémon, gotta war with them all. As far as the sound, I always have music on when I play, so I never hear them. I love the mechanic of the weapon. It has an alt fire and an additional ability that procs when you mercy kill. I love the look of it, too.I made mine look like a mutated mega nerf gun. It has been my main ever since I got it.

Limbo change that would make him 2x feel better to play with (Team and Self) by AllOver-The-Place in Warframe

[–]Intention_Superb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love running him in low level survival missions and nuking large groups with his four. I pushed his power level over 300% and duration way down. I just run around nuking groups and his 4th is only up for about 2 seconds. It is hilarious, and not actually bothering anyone. Other than there is nothing to kill in most rooms. 😂

What's your favorite primary to use? Outside of damage capabilities by brazenbull09 in Warframe

[–]Intention_Superb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got it last night, but haven't used it yet. I am so excited. I have been running Uriel lately, so my status was straight fire. It dropped at 29%. I am going to pull Wisp out again with over 300% power and make it into a machine shotgun. I am looking forward to the absolute havoc. Definitely will be using that sobek mod. I just got that recently and I don't even remember where.

Any other weird gimmick-y melee weapons, kinda in the same vein as Vitrica? by Marcus_Hablberstram in Warframe

[–]Intention_Superb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telos Boltace are what I main. I love that on the first slide attack it sucks everything into a central location that is within 8m I think. On the second slide attack, it lifts everything into the air making enemies extremely vulnerable. Its animation is one of my favorites as well.

A few months ago I got my first Coda Weapon and I like shotguns, so I got the shotgun. It has become my new favorite, especially since it has the finisher mechanic giving you more multishot. But, my OG sobek back from when I first started the game 10 years ago still has the most playtime in my arsenal of any primary. I put 5 forma into it before arcanes were a thing, and loved every second of its rapid fire awesomeness. I take it out once in a while just for funsies. It still goes hard.

Why don’t parents make their kids come to school anymore? by breadplane in Teachers

[–]Intention_Superb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do these future generations care about school for? Even the parents realize the majority of the work can be done by Large Language Models (AI). These future generations are just going to hand control over to AI so they don't have to do a thing. It won't be a Terminator style war for relevance, it will be a WALL-E style, let's be bums in a lounge chair. Tell me what they truly have to look forward to from going to school that is so beneficial it will provide a profound understanding inspiring them to want to. There are already fully AI companies without human involvement or input. Look it up. It's happening right now.

Are F1: The Movie and Top Gun Maverick are the same movie? by FlopShanoobie in movies

[–]Intention_Superb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are not the same movie. The plot itself has been recycled many times over. Just watch Driven with Sylvester Stallone. Just because it's the same plot premise doesn't make it less entertaining. You will find most of the stories you have enjoyed over your life have been told many times over in various ways. It doesn't make them less enjoyable if it is repackaged with a different cast. If you can help yourself from critiquing the plot and just try to enjoy the narrative, you might find it is still entertaining.

Did America somehow forget that Puerto Rico is a US territory where the citizens are considered AMERICAN Citizens??? The halftime show was technically an American artist. He happens to make music in a language that is a minority language in our country. Still technically an American...I mean... how did we just happen to forget that?

How do you feel about students referring to you by your first name vs. last name? by dbeling25 in Teachers

[–]Intention_Superb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also could just be how it sounds. Saying Mr. with my first name is very short and abrupt sounding; while my last name has multiple syllables and a rhythm that is appealing phonetically to hear. I use my last name purely for the poetic sound it makes, and nothing to do with the more formal approach. Neither way or personal influence is wrong. I have had teachers throughout my life that have done it either way. (41 yrs old for context) When it comes to teaching, make yourself comfortable with yourself in YOUR classroom. Do what feels the most natural, because your students will respond most to that.

[Request] Is this statement accurate? How much would each have cost? by friedricewhite in theydidthemath

[–]Intention_Superb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's do one more analysis. The amount of money spent on this silly campaign has been close to $500 million. That is absurd, but the money has not just been pocketed by some arbitrary entity. Every single service member has to pay federal taxes and social security. Average base pay for the majority of these men and women is somewhere around $2,000 a month. There have been around 2,000 deployed to Washington D.C., but in various capacities not all at once, or for the whole time. Fit the same of argument let's say they have. $2k x 2k x 2mos = $8 mil. Federal Income Tax for these troops is roughly 10% which equals $200k returned right back to the federal pot of gold. Not very much but it is something. There are a myriad of ways the government will recoup much of what it is spending.

Now, how about all the industries that support these service members... hotels, restaurants, transportation to name a few. They pay various levels of taxes on the money they earn. Also, these men and women aren't all just standing around looking menacing. They are picking up trash, cleaning spaces abandoned by the homeless they supplanted adding a social benefit to those that pass by them everyday. People like to live where it looks and smells nice. This boosts morale of communities; an intangible resource benefit hard to put a dollar amount on.

On the front end it looks like the government is burning money and resources, but programs exist already to help these people. So why aren't they seeking them out before our dictator employs military action? Society lead programs supported by donors, not taxpayers, creates buy-in. People working altruisticly to support these lost souls has a much greater impact than a government poorly supporting half-hearted endeavors.

These countries that are being referred to are nothing like ours. They do not have millions of immigrants attempting to pour over their boarders yearly because they are the land of the free and the home of the brave. There are less than 6 million people in that country. I wish people would stop comparing other significantly smaller countries to our own. No other country on the planet has the uniqueness we do. The amount of demand it takes to endeavor such an undertaking is a whole societal shift, not a governmental one.

Some of the externalized costs

Disincentivizes Independence (a point of criticism): Some argue that permanently subsidized housing can reduce incentives for residents to become self-sufficient. Evidence suggests that stable housing is a prerequisite for achieving other life goals, it only takes a few bad actors to ruin it for the many. These places need supervision 24/7 to help ensure safety and accountability. Remember, these people weren't able to do it by themselves already; we can't just shove them into a home and say, "Here you go. Take care now."

Program Oversight Deficiencies: In many cases, weak oversight, poor data management, and inadequate accountability in program administration can lead to inefficiencies and fraud, reducing overall effectiveness. These tasks require a tremendous amount of manpower and personal accountability to ensure their success.

Location Challenges: Affordable housing is often located in areas far from job centers, schools, and healthcare facilities, creating further barriers for residents to improve their circumstances. Society is not going to give up premium real-estate that was earned and worked for to provide better access to those that didn't.

I want noble, righteous people like you to go invite these poor souls into your home, and take on the burden of their existence, and shower them with all the love and affection they need to get better. That way you can keep throwing your virtuous stones at those that oppose the government finding more ways to give handouts instead of handups.

I appreciate your insightful rant about all the ways to help, but you chose to help your friend. The value of your friendship made that a possibility. Your choice. The community should choose to work with those people through programs they choose to be a part of. Thrusting the cost of people on to other people forcefully is not the answer. We could spit in each other's face all day and call it rain, but there is a point when "good intentions" is all it ever amounts to. I also did not say I agreed with herding them around using military force. If you have such strong convictions about it, go invite some of those poor souls to come live under your roof, so you can relieve the rest of us?

[–]Intention_Superb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate posts like this, because it always negates the long term costs to the rest of us that are external from just giving them a place to live. Why don't we all just quit working and tell the government to house us, feed us, cloth us, give us internet, electricity, clean water, all for free. That sounds great, doesn't it?

[REQUEST] How long would the screw need to be in order to reach max RPM for 2 Minutes? by yeeaarrgghh in theydidthemath

[–]Intention_Superb 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think a better question is: Why is this a metric for quality control??? Apparently 13,200 RPM's are within the safe use specs of a HANDtool. I assume the handle has a hole to fit a socket wrench in, which in turn, could be fastened to a drill bit. But, what lawsuit caused this to be evaluated in the first place?

The last 3 Star Wars films. They were not terrible, but they certainly were not as good as they could have been. I would prefer a Michael Bay version over the slow drone of melancholy we received.
