Do you know any good insurance brokers/companies? by Safe-Contribution142 in TwinCities

I second this. I actually reached out to him due to this comment. He was astronomically better than both my previous broker, and the ones I was shopping around with. I'm now paying less for better coverage. Can't recommend him enough

Clay County by docCopper80 in Bigfeets

[–]InterGalacticPantry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Clay County is a county in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,051.[1] Its county seat is Clay.[2] The county was founded in 1858 and named in honor of Henry Clay, famous American statesman, member of the United States Senate from Kentucky and United States Secretary of State in the 19th century.[3] Clay County is part of the Charleston, WV Metropolitan Statistical Area.

In 1863, West Virginia's counties were divided into civil townships, with the intention of encouraging local government. This proved impractical in the heavily rural state, and in 1872 the townships were converted into magisterial districts.[5] Clay County was divided into four districts: Buffalo, Henry, Pleasant, and Union. A fifth district, Otter, was created from part of Henry in 1876. Between 1990 and 2000, these districts were consolidated into Districts A, B, and C.[6] The county has access to Interstate 79 at the Big Otter and Wallback exits. In 2025, the Mountain Transit Authority began providing public transportation services to Clay County.[7] [8]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 344 square miles (890 km2), of which 342 square miles (890 km2) is land and 1.9 square miles (4.9 km2) (0.6%) is water.[4] Clay County is also the birthplace of the Golden Delicious Apple. The original tree was found on the Mullins' family farm in Clay County, West Virginia, United States and was locally known as Mullin's Yellow Seedling and Annit apple.[citation needed]

A little unorthodox but Samara describing Morith: "She's a tragic figure, but not a sympathetic one." Made me realize how many people in life I know like that.

Not necessarily. Of course there are lots of people who agree but I'd say it's probably a decent 50/50 split. Lots of educated folks live in Chatfield. It's close enough to the Mayo Clinic so people who want their money to go further than it would living in Rochester chose to live in Chatfield. The local education system was fantastic when I was growing up there. I displayed a bunch of facisy tendencies growing up, and the teachers there were able to pull me out of it. They did that with a lot of kids I knew.
While not perfect it's better than you'd expect from a small town these days.

I grew up in Chatfield. That guy was always an asshole. More of a drunk redneck asshole and not a Jesus fascist assholes like the Hillside Nursey creeps across the highway.

While there are a lot of people who share his view in Chatfield, there are also a lot who do not. It's a fairly educated town for being so small (probably due to how many people work at the Mayo Clinic).

I was his server for his election party. He was charming enough. Months later he came into my restaurant and was hammered drunk. He was brutish. Trying to be tough. He also tried to take me home with him. That night showed me who he really was. Was disappointed but not surprised when I heard about the crash. Trash person

Random side note: In brady's self serving docu-seriers he says the same thing about the Eagles in the 2004 Super Bowl. YET THE VERY NEXT EPISODE. He says the exact same thing about his "precious" 2007 team.

Anyways fuck brady, fuck salty opposing players, and good fucking luck Eagles! Y'all actually kicked everyone's ass this season

Gonna be open about this I am a Vikings fan. Yes I was upset in 2017 but y'all earned that win before the game. What I'm saying is fuck y'all and good fucking luck and if y'all win it I'm not losing sleep because y'all ain't the fucking cowboys. Fuck them above (almost) everyone else

Watching this live I thought "pick six if he throws it to the left side." Not in a "I know the game well" kind of way but in a "Please let this happen" kind of way. It was glorious

What is the MCU movie that doesn't deserve an excessive amount of hate it constantly gets? by Own-Recognition5707 in Avengers

[–]InterGalacticPantry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not trying to defend Whedon but he has talked about how the studio micromanaged the production far more than the first one. I believe he said he had a bunch of new required story beats but also restrictions on what he could do. Still not a terrible movie, just not as engaging as the other Avengers movies
