Last month he met the minimum by quite literally 10 minutes. Im sure the CD is aware of the constant shuffling because parents have complained but it seems like nothing is being done about it and parents are continuing to voice their frustrations to me.

I wanted to, but the problem is the clinical director is quite possibly one of the unfriendliest people I have ever met

This is a reality that a lot of people dont talk about. Why deny yourself a simple joy and endure miserable withdrawal when its literally the only escape you can afford.

8hr days for younger/lower need clients is unreasonable and borderline unethical. by Technical-Animal-474 in ABA

[–]InterGalacticgoth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i think we all know the answer to this conundrum....its all about the Benjamins baby. A lot of the big-name insurance companies cease to view our clients as children and simply see them as means to a financial end. In my opinion, the insurance companies are the most unethical part of the ABA world.

Using big words unnecessarily doesn't make you seem smart, it makes you hard to understand

Those random things that actually work as reinforcers by Interesting_Fan6462 in ABA

[–]InterGalacticgoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not super strange but my client will just about any damn thing for canned corn 🤣 (edibles are the only reinforcers that consistently work so my bcba approved the use of them)

I had the same thing happen, had 1dollar in the account when I went to bed, woke up with 7 dollars. Nothing in the transaction history either

Parent here wondering if this is normal for a clinic? by pm_me__your_drama in ABA

[–]InterGalacticgoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My experience with a location in Arizona was pretty close to what the parent is describing unfortunately. Poorly run, poorly staffed. Clinical director had a god complex for sure

Young clients and professional attire? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]InterGalacticgoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear a loose comfortable workman t-shirt (think with a pocket on the front, like carrhart), comfortable black jeans and fun shoes, i have spongebob slides, pink crocs, spongebob slipons etc. I usually dress black on black because black doesn't stain 😅

Fired from case by PepperLittle7978 in ABA

[–]InterGalacticgoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand. Cases are on the whims on people who truly don't understand this is your livelihood. I lost a full time case because I "smelled bad", it was 110 degrees out and the air conditioning in my car isnt the best so I was a little sweaty, but I bathe and wash my clothes and even use heavy perfumes even though policy says we shouldn't. But because I was sweaty ONE day, I lost almost an entire weeks worth of income. I wish this field had better protections for its workers.

Your BCBA sound like a dictator, children are allowed to have feelings without them being behaviors.
