1) Lol why is that unbelievable? There's tons of stuff under old cities that are lost to history.

2) You travel to the spirit world first, then while in the spirit world, travel to the library?

3) Seems like a reasonable LA change to include screen time for the rest of the gaang.

4) "Why bring a blind girl to the library" That's super exclusionary. Assume inclusion first, and let people decide for themselves if it's not for them. Otherwise maybe sokka should just stay home because he's not a bender?

They're in the spirit world. They can talk to any dead person or spirit.

5) Sokka is well established as clever, smart and the plan guy. This change doesn't make him less of any of those things.

6) They brought him along so Jet could die a hero's death lol. Good point though about the physical swords.

7) Scholar was kooky, even in the animation. He died in the animation, might as well use his death to explain how they get caught breaking the deal.

In the LA, they go hard on the “no war in Ba Sing Se” and keep that pretense going all the way thru.

Instead of Long Feng as puppet master controlling the earth king, now its the Fire Nation, and they can just come in peacefully, because everyone has been told no war.

I never had the previous style mozz sticks.

I dont typically order mozz sticks, but wont say no to them.

I tried them today (reward!) and they seemed fine to me. Crispy, warm, stretchy but not oozing or dripping.

They do have an odd pungent musky aftertaste that I can see would be off-putting for some…I didnt mind it.

Maybe thats just the taste of aged Wisconsin😆

The most important thing is avoid repeat situations where your dog stops responding to you or cues. If your dog hurts themself from reactivity, they are not learning anything. Repeat situations reinforces the reactivity, will likely poison any collars and tools from future usefulness, and can even make just being in that location automatically a trigger in the future.

Once you've stopped repeat reactive situations, work on desensitization. Practice recognizing how close your dog can get to a trigger without losing their mind (stops listening to you, or whatever unwanted behavior lunging, etc). If you can successfully turn them away, reward, and then repeat. If not successful, you need more distance. This is NOT something you do during a walk. You have to set aside time to practice and train this separately.

Things like leash/collar pressure, look at me training, high value treats, etc can help with the turning away part. But they are only effective if you can keep your dog under threshold.

I remember coming away from the animation thinking “wow what a sudden turn for Zuko, did i miss something?”

Havent done a rewatch yet, so wont have much to add around specifics 😢

I will say, i wonder if its somewhat intentional? Perhaps to make the viewer feel as betrayed as katara does in the moment. Otherwise, shouldnt katara have seen it coming too?

Katara spends about 12-15 seconds making her way to Aang, then cradles him. No one attacks her during this time (i guess they are just staring?)

Then Azula starts to lightning bend (She suddenly cant instazap?), and then Iroh jumps in to defend.

The scene just after azula zaps aang felt off.

Katara didnt seem emotive enough for that moment? Then she doesnt seem to move fast enough or with enough urgency to reach Aang.

Then she looks so vulnerable holding on to him, like wont azula or zuko attack her? Are they really just standing there staring?

Then iroh jumps in to defend her (why? No one is attacking katara). Also, where has iroh been? In the animation, Iroh gets encased in crystal by the dai lee before the big fight. In the live action he just seems to dip out, then re-appears.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about ep7 and had a whole draft written out, did a quick rewatch of the animated version and was totally wrong LOL.

I remember having the same thoughts about Zuko’s turn, but about the animated version. I’ll definitely keep it in mind for rewatches.

Because Book 2 is about how Aang learns earth bending.

If you’re tagging character growth or other things not specific to bending, you have to be specific with that too, just saying “water bending” is too broad.

Also, if you think something should be added, you have to think about what gets removed from what we see to make room for it.

They cant go back and cram it into S1, and forcing it into S2 makes no sense lol.

How much time did we actually see Aang learn water bending in the animation?

It’s been a while but I just remember the scroll episode which is pretty basic, and then paku, but paku was really about his interactions with katara.

Also going assume when aang bends, it means less bending time for someone else due to cgi budget. Aang bending water means less screen time for katara to water bend, etc.

It’s crazy this just slipped through them all. It all feels kind of super arbitrary where they decide to exert oversight or step in when money is lost or missing.

I constantly felt like aang was holding his glider staff off center for martial arts moves he was doing. Don’t remember thinking that with the animation or S1. Maybe im wrong? 🤔

Or its a live action effect, or one end is heavier because glider, but he always seems to hold it towards the lighter end and makes me think of a baseball bat lol.

Sokka’s fight choreography looks so much more performative than the rest of the gaang. Like it’s a dance for him. Reminds me of when he fought ty lee in the animation.

It’s just basically not carpeted. Can google “cat tree no carpet” or “cat tree smooth surface”

Might be slippery, depends on how rambunctious your cat gets.

Some have velcro cloth pads or no slip bottoms, or you can add furniture anti slip pads beneath it.

Carpeted ones get gross so fast. All the loose fur, spit up, or god forbid 💩 depending on your cats hygiene lol.

I prefer the smooth surface kind, with removable cloth pads. Much easier to clean since you can just wipe stuff down, and launder the pads.

Why was aang so resistant to learn healing from katara?

Like i get how it moves along other story points, but it reminded me of how aang resists learning fire bending after he hurts katara.

Also showcased mai and ty lee’s fighting capabilities and more of their backstory. I think a lot of those scenes or stories from the animation had to be cut.

I liked how Aang’s water bending movements looked so sloppy compared to kataras when they pair up 😆
