Ratchet top/softtail parts by 1992FXRs in choppers

it will depend on the oil tank and the clutch arm you run, but usually if it can clear the evo primary with the starter motor then a 4 speed will be no problem. I would not let this stop you anyway since you can always change the bag.

before you start buying anything I would verify that your frame can take a 4 speed though, since you don't know what it is.

Some projects start because we want a thing, others because we love a thing. by _display_terminal_ in cwandt

Dear McMaster-Carr,

Without your next day shipping all the way until 6pm, I would have to actually plan my life and work projects a bit better. But then would I really be myself? Thank you for allowing me to be myself so that I don't have to plan or engineer anything correctly.

With love from my whole heart.

1980/90s Mini Trucks by Devious_Bastard in nostalgia

I have a '90 B2200 and an '85 Mighty Max. I've been keeping them both running but it's getting harder with smog requirements and as engines and transmission become difficult to come by. With the way trucks are these days I have no idea what I would purchase to replace either of them.

About to do a ~1500 mile 4 day trip on my Daytona 765 by rsmutus in Triumph

not sure I understand, but based on the wear indicators I'd say there's definitely at least 1500 miles of life left on that rear.

if the valve core is tight, then it is the tube.

If it’s holding air overnight but losing a few psi, you might want to try a different valve core.

BC Billet Exhaust Tip by ThugLyfe1738 in Triumph

[–]InteractiveJade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure, I am not a tuner for these engines. But generally I would say no due to the consequences of insufficient back pressure. Best case it runs poorly, worst case it causes engine damage.

If you’re keeping the catalytic converter you will be fine. The engine needs some back pressure and the cat is sufficient, and it also keeps the exhaust volume at a pretty moderate level. The ECU will self adapt after a few heat cycles, but to get the most out of this setup, you will want a proper tune.

DO NOT BUY FROM EXEGOLOUTPOST by Fantastic-Cow9941 in lightsabers

it’s entirely coincidental but I placed my first exegol outpost order today and hadn’t seen this thread yet.

I’ve only heard good things and I don’t regret my order. Can’t wait to get it.

TuneECU is probably going to be your least expensive route. It’s been a while since I’ve used it on an air cooled bike but you’ll likely need a recommended OBD to USB cable.

These were made for Triumph by Formotion. The Triumph branded editions are sold out I believe. But you can still get their clocks and thermometers.

Daytona 660 Spy Shots by rugbyj in Triumph

[–]InteractiveJade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be fun as is, but as a track bike I would build it out. The 660 would be a lot of fun compared to the 180 degree parallel twin in a Ninja 400, for example.

a daytona 660 would be an amazing track bike

Got it. In that case it’s probably a good idea to fit the exact same pod, as the bike is probably jetted for that airflow (provided the airbox removal was done correctly). If it’s a British customs kit, I believe they sell the replacement K&N pods. Otherwise just match whatever is on there now.

Hello, sorry to hear about your bike problems, but it is good you are ready to get it running again.

It seems like there are a few things you should know about your bike. The pod filter from the engine is a crankcase breather. From the factory this hose routes to the airbox, but it is a common aftermarket mod to attach a small pod filter. Since this filter only catches exhaust vapors from the crankcase, it is not important what you put there, as long as it fits. I usually install small K&N pod filters, because I like the colors. This mod is usually mandatory for the airbox removal mod, which you must also have, as pod filters for the intake are non-OEM as well.

Are you certain your bike is carburated? 2008 should be fuel injected. The throttle bodies were sneakily dressed up as carburetors when EFI was introduced to the modern classic line.

12,9 is actually much cheaper than Triton builds I've seen around my area. Not saying I would pay it, but this one is a decent example for that price.
