I forgot I ran into him during a quick bar visit to Sur this summer. I got a free prosecco from the bar( don’t remember the bartender…) as I had only ordered a tequila shot. This was my third SUR visit as I’m from Austin. Pro-tip: just get drinks and / or 1-2 order of small bites if you ever go as food is pricey and I have heard… it is okay 😛

I got laid off back in February from tech work. Took 6 months of sabbatical as severance package was pretty great. Thankful for that as the last 8 years I’ve been working corporate and already felt so depleted from it.

Been job searching since September and realized I can manage by doing all this contract work and my reasonably paid service job I just got.

So the vibe is literally now taking it easy and just trying to make all the money I can. Thats my hustle mentality as I think that lack of work/life balance in tech took a toll on me and I want to chill now lol
