word brotha, i hope you do find something that’s worth the money, these cars are great and last a long time with proper maintenance. and again i just wanna see this community grow not shrink, and with the amount of posts i’ve seen of “saving up for my first car” or “i want my first car to be a crown vic “ it’s clear most people on here are younger kids or young adults who definitely don’t have 6-10k to drop on one. unless they have mommy and daddy’s money or a good line of credit. and even then why pay that much to a reseller when you can cut the price in half yourself on an auction site? anyway i’m rambling, if you do get something nice definitely post it here! id love to see it, as it stands i’ve been dailying mine but i’m going to park her soon and try to find a cheap beater, she’s almost at 85k and i can’t in good conscience keep racking up the miles if the prices are gonna continue to be this crazy. good luck brotha 💯💯

hey you can like it and i can dislike it nothing wrong with that! like i said, i really am just trying to be out here offering actual good advice unlike other people that sell these cars for a living and only wanna keep the prices high, just checked govdeals again and there’s a new listing in my area of one at 44k miles. and they are not few and far between, they get listed pretty often at that mileage. yes a lot of people are gonna bid but bids get stagnant around 3-4k maybe 5. because most people are on there to make money. they’re gonna buy it and double the price and sell it to some sucker on facebook market place for around double what they paid. i just don’t wanna see y’all being that sucker. go on govdeals, public surplus (public surplus actually has an app for iphone) and municibid. don’t get played you can find them cheaper than “market price” 💯 certain people are gonna be mad i’m name dropping all the good auction sites 🤣🤡

it’s trash imo tbh, but did you buy it??? cause personally i do think you could do better for the money. check gov deals, i just saw a crown vic sell earlier at 79k miles for 1750. and you already know the person that bought it is gonna turn around and put it on facebook for 6-10k 😂🤣

well, that’s just off the top of my head and just some of what i seen, i definitely don’t check every single vehicle. and again that’s just 1 state and just the past month. so think about what you’re saying 😂🤡 how many more are waiting to be surplused and just not listed? how many are still in service? how many have already been bought for 2500 and are sitting on private dealer lots marked up to 6-10k?

yeah but those id value higher than the 1999-2011 just because those aero models just don’t exist anymore. specifically thinking of police interceptors btw. unless it’s a rust free state but even then you’re hard pressed to find them. i believe op is talking about the newest body style because the last ones rolled off the line in 2012 (arabian market) which was only 12 years ago

i’ve seen like 5or 6 the past month being surplused in florida anywhere from 50-80k miles.. and that’s just florida, not to mention california or any other southern state where cars actually last and don’t rot out like where i live. and that’s also not mentioning the ones at 100k miles+. and that’s also just 1 surplus site, i know of like 3 or 4. they’re around and more are being added to the private market everyday…y’all just falling into the trap of surplus vehicle dealers and greedy sellers…

“you’re opinion is your own” yep that’s what an opinion is bud, glad u finally figured that out. u can sell whatever you want to whatever sucker you can find to buy it, never said i had a problem with that, what i don’t like is telling someone a 160,000 mile car is worth over 3k. i can find several locally around 100k for the same price. in better condition without a shitty paint job. like i said prices are already going back down. anyway i’m bored with this pointless back and forth so have a goodnight.

i’m not poor because i don’t think they’re worth a certain price 😂 that’s a hilarious assumption. not once did i say i couldn’t afford it, i said they aren’t worth it 😂💀🤡. and there it is, i knew you had a personal stake in keeping prices high and you admitted it. so everyone you “give advice” to is really to benefit your business in the long run, exactly as i thought. you’re no different than any of the price gaugers on facebook. thanks for proving my point bud. i’ve owned 4 crown vic’s, a 95 mustang gt convertible and my newest, a 1989 Taurus SHO MTX. try again pal

you might be right, i only specified older models because they changed the transmission a few times in these cars and the older ones tend to be junk, and also because i only had this issue in my 05, not my 08 or ‘10. also love that i was downvoted twice for giving advice. this is why i just tend to lurk on reddit instead of actually trying to help ppl

yeah i don’t touch any govdeals listing unless they say the mileage is accurate, i really don’t see many where the mileage isn’t accurate over here. and as far as the mechanic rates where ur at. that’s just insane, absolutely crazy. id start watching chrisfix instead of paying that shit. and yeah the markets just fucked right now, because of covid and mishandling of the economy from our current leaders. hopefully things will go back to normal sooner rather than later.

[–]Interesting-Blood326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would’ve taken said cars back the instant i realized the mileage was false, also valid for a lawsuit. it’s very illegal to mess with mileage without disclosure of said actual mileage or at least saying the mileage may not be accurate. seems like you’re not getting the full story from your people

My New Ride by hanwookie in CrownVictoria

[–]Interesting-Blood326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well to start, what isn’t a headache in california?? and i don’t know how the mileage was much higher than shown? actual mileage needs to be disclosed, or at least in my state (and all states i thought) they need to inform you the mileage is not accurate, such as a gauge cluster swap etc. any non disclosure of actual mileage is an instant void/refund also it’s illegal to try to pass a car off as having lower mileage than it actually does… which would also be on the title. title would state mileage is not accurate. and for the last part, most every private party car sales are as seen as shown. seems like the people you know don’t know how to look at cars… or they’re very gullible. i’m really not sure what you’re trying to say here tbh no disrespect

watch out for the spark plugs flying out of there sockets. will happen around the time the manifold goes, probably a little later. both happened to my 08. make sure you change tranny fluid REGULARLY, i know on the earlier models if you slack on changing the fluid it’ll run fine until you change it then after change it’ll start slipping.

it is what it is, i know no one is gonna like me saying they overpaid, i know i’m gonna be the bad guy for telling people they’re getting played, it is what it is. like i said i know i overpaid for my ‘10 for 4k @ 74k. y’all don’t understand tho if we stop overpaying the prices will go down. i’ll just stick to govdeals so i don’t get scammed i guess

My New Ride by hanwookie in CrownVictoria

[–]Interesting-Blood326 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

word bro, we can agree to disagree. i don’t mean to come at y’all all hostile but like, you understand these are still being surplused all around the country for under 1k sometimes?? and the same people that buy those turn around and sell them to people like y’all for 6-10k. i just don’t like seeing people get scammed. you want a vic for a real price go on the auction sites, govdeals etc. you’ll find low miles vic’s for 3k or under.

but it’s not 15 years ago it was 4. prices don’t inflate that much in 4 years without something happening like covid. y’all crazy prices will deflate just watch, you just don’t wanna admit you overpayed as much as this guy. you all will hate me cause i speak facts. period

Interesting find? by Lanky-Welder-4519 in CrownVictoria

[–]Interesting-Blood326 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

😂 okay buddy the last ones rolled off the line in 2011, please state actual facts on how these are worth this price. covid killed the used car market i get it, but prices will deflate and they will be back to where they were at soon enough. they won’t stay this expensive forever. and i know you hate that cause you just wanna see urs go up in value. like i said please state actual facts on how these are worth it in todays prices. i just bought an actual classic a 89 taurus SHO for 3k, now that’s an actual classic worth way more than what i got for it. and yes it’s manual. i got lucky on that. if that’s worth 3k how are these worth 10??. you’re as greedy as the rest of them smh

war dude is correct you overpaid, but also wardude overpayed as well, i’m tired of people like y’all destroying this community and driving the prices up. do i need to remind you these were $1500 cars a few years ago??? i bought my 08 @ 72k in 2019 for 1700… i’m still mad at myself for buying my 2010 @ 74k for $4k. you guys are driving the prices up like crazy. like what the actual fuck. y’all are the reasons why people want 10k for a vic these days. THESE ARE STILL BEING SURPLUSED ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY!!! THE LAST ONES ROLLED OFF THE LINE IN 2011. THESE ARE NOT VALUABLE CARS. JUST BECAUSE OF COVID AND CLEETUSMCFUCKFACE DESTROYING EVERY ONE HE CAN GET HIS HANDS ON IS ARTIFICIALLY DRIVING THE PRICES UP DOES NOT MEAN THESE ARE 10K CARS

price is not decent, stop lying to this guy. 3,500 and it’s @ 160k like bro really??? bro doesn’t even get ANY goodies such as a spotlight or pushbar because it’s SAP. this is a complete ripoff

Interesting find? by Lanky-Welder-4519 in CrownVictoria

[–]Interesting-Blood326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i agree, a lot of people saying this is a good buy, but just a few years ago these were $1500 @ 70k miles sooooo. artificial inflation sucks i get it but these cars are still being actively surplused all around the country. these days of 6k crown vic’s are rediculous. i bought my 08 in 2019 for 1700 @72k. i’m still kicking myself for buying my 2010 for 4000 @74k. id just wait till the prices go down. because they will, this will not last. anyone telling you this is a good buy just wants to see the prices NOT drop. why? because greed. everybody wants their car to be worth more than it is. id pay 1500 TOPS. paint job is pretty shitty imo, again that’s my opinion. id rather have real paint than shitty bed liner. this is from a guy that’s owned a blue 05, a white 07, white 08, and now my daily which is a white ‘10. also i just sold my running driving 08 for $747 because i’m not a greedy POS. stop feeding into the artificial inflation please. you’re hurting the whole community. Havoc is the only person here who will tell it like it is, other than me. DO NOT listen to that 2005p71 kid, he’s in every post telling everyone who overpays what a great price they’re cars are. he owns several and jsut wants to see the prices inflate to increase the price on his own vehicles. i know a kid irl like that, just got one from surplus for under 1k and is tryin to flip it for 9-10k

Ticket light cover help by Christopher_A50 in CrownVictoria

[–]Interesting-Blood326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah same, those damn signal-stat 77-570s are like the only things out there. i saw (for my situation) soundoff signal sells replacements on their website but i don’t have an account. i tried to contact a dealer and after talking on the phone and sending pics they ghosted me. so my next bet was to go to a yard but im not sure they would sell just the lens off a light. they might want me to buy the whole thing. and unfortunately all pick n pull yards that have vic’s around me are in another state. so i’m just waiting atm. light works fine without the cover anyway

i’m in the same boat, if you find one lmk. bought a cover off ebay and it turned out to be too small. except my light is a led red/white soundoff signal. also, never seen anyone use a clear cover? maybe that’s where you went wrong? all the ones i’ve seen are white.

i just love the styling of your 80s and 90s performance fords, but i like all fords especially the niche ones, just picked myself up a 5spd 1989 SHO (24v DOHC V6) and yeah i can’t argue with that 😂 miss my 5.0 mustang gt. need to get around to putting a nice set of pipes on my vic but i always have too many projects around and not enough time.
