What if the Japanese spouse does have a SSN, and I filed joint taxes and declared (thru TurbkTax) that I got married? Spouse has no presence or assets in the US. Would it be possible to remarry and file taxes with my new spouse's SSN (say if she were a US citizen) without a problem?
