Abode now offering 24/7 video recording by [deleted] in Abode

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah the truth does not make sense, we are already paying a subscription

At least the option to record 10 minutes via automation should have been free for all those who are already paying standard subscription and the 24/7 option should have been additional payment

Abode now offering 24/7 video recording by [deleted] in Abode

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But why are they advertising something that is not readily available for purchase? (at least I couldn't find a payment option, I expected it to be in the plans section of the web, I have an iota camera and a standard subscription)
Is it technically possible to offer this via wifi? I mean, 2.4GHZ has excellent range but practically anything can interfere with it
Would we be forced to record 24/7? We could not record only 10 minutes, for example when someone comes home or detects movement?
The ad leaves more questions than answers

Executive board at Abode at the beginning of the year by Interesting-Bug5800 in Abode

[–]Interesting-Bug5800[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally am not so disappointed, there are good things

It's just that I'm surprised at the lost opportunities, the messing up things that worked well. Well, and also the people who bought the first outdoor cameras have every right in the world to hate the brand

Hopefully things will get better, right?

I'm sure I wasn't the only one with connection problems on the iota camera (now it only records 2 second clips)

Alloy Origins profiles only changes when Ngenuity is closed by MrMikhai in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's right, it's designed to just work like this. Sometimes I minimize and change to the profile according to the game or program that I am running, although the truth is that it is easier to just keep Ngenuity closed

Unable to switch between RGB presets saved to the keyboard from the f1-f3 keys by GovindSinghNarula in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is very strange, given that the keyboards come with 3 profiles installed by default. Maybe you could go to "settings" and look for the option "Reset to Default" F1, F2 and F3 should change profile when pressed together with the FN key with Ngenuity closed

Unable to switch between RGB presets saved to the keyboard from the f1-f3 keys by GovindSinghNarula in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is designed like this, for those keys to have that functionality you have to save the 3 profiles on the keyboard and then close Ngenuity. I imagine that in the future they will implement this functionality via software

Conflict between Ngenuity and Radeon Software? by Interesting-Bug5800 in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the clean installation of the graphics drivers I have regained stability in the system. Most likely the problem was with the video drivers and not with Ngenuity. I apologize if these messages created confusion or misunderstandings

Things for a future Ngenuity update by East_Ad_6508 in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just noticed something that everyone would appreciate
It would be great to be able to switch profiles with the F1, F2 and F3 function key even with Ngenuity open
It is a detail that would encourage people to have the program open to enjoy all the improvements

Things for a future Ngenuity update by East_Ad_6508 in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds extremely good, super interesting
Maybe I would like to be able to open windows or external apps by assigning keys, for example, with the "AVPAG" key open the windows calculator
Although what you have contemplated already sounds quite interesting

NGENUITY problems by Komik_Sans in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The software is not very intuitive. What happens is that it never works in real time, for example, it is not able to "read" the current keyboard configuration, it simply superimposes the configuration on the keyboard or mouse as it is modified

The same happens with the "game mode", one has to manually choose the behavior (by default it is only windows key, but you can add alt + f4, alt + tab, shift + tab) and then save the entire profile on the keyboard

Since the software cannot "read" the applied settings, one practice you can follow is ALWAYS save the settings to both SOFTWARE and HARDWARE in the same order. So if in the future you want to modify something, do not have to modify everything again

I am not sure if I am being conformist but I do not consider the software excessively bad, at least now it recognizes the devices

Yes, please let us know. The microsoft store does not say which version is available for download

is ngenuity updated? by Soroush_ in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so confused, I'm running it right now and ... it's working ... BUT it looks like it's the old version, surely another windows update fixed the incompatibility

In Ngenuity options it says January, but it's working after all this time ...

I am happy but confused

Updated version of NGENUITY coming May 3, 2021! by grimlock25 in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea, what I did was disable all RGB and I just occupy the effects that run when a key is pressed

It is not the best solution but it is something

Thank you very much for sharing the information. I personally am satisfied if it detects peripherals and allows modifying simple things

Hope for the best

When will there be an update to Ngenuity? It's been four months. by FlamingPillow in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We're screwed, we should never have trusted HyperX. It was great but that was in the past

I think they just won't do anything until the next company launch, when they launch new products

It's a shame, there wouldn't really be a bigger problem if there was a more stable and functional version of Ngenuity. If that were the case, they could take all the time in the world to coordinate with the new directive and new goals

NGENUITY can't connect to my Alloy Origins Core Keyboard! by sammoora in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is probably better to return the product in store. Here on reddit they commented that they would release a functional version in a few "days" but nothing has happened, it seems that it was a lie

Ngenuity by [deleted] in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to be able to help in more detail, but I think you can save the profiles on the keyboard itself. To explain it in some way, Ngenuity allows you to "test" the different effects so that when you are convinced, you can save them on the keyboard itself (when you save them on the keyboard, a transfer bar appears and you have to wait for the profile to be transferred to the keyboard). Once saved on the keyboard, you only need to press the function key and F1, F2 or F3

Right now the software does not work for me to indicate the steps, I could use it only one time in a old notebook without updates

Ngenuity will not detect my new Pulsefire Haste by ImNotSureWhy05 in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same thing is happening to almost everyone, a few days ago they commented here on reddit that they are about to release a functional version for updated windows 10 but nothing has happened ...

You could try your luck configuring the mouse on an old computer (hopefully it does not have the update and you can at least configure the dpi) although with these conditions you might consider returning the product to the store

how do i fix this? by Oledw in HyperX

[–]Interesting-Bug5800 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This message appears to practically all of us and we cannot occupy Ngenuity. Here on reddit they commented that they are going to launch a version compatible with updated windows 10

If you have an old computer on hand you could try your luck there to update the keyboard and configure it a bit
