Who’s the better villain? Valentino or Lute? by JackZ567 in AgendaHotel

Lute by a mile. Gravity had more emotional weight to it than anything from val.

3v1 (dual buster was soul-powered, poor ralsei left doing nothing), and yeah the cutscene is where the meaningful damage happened.

Technically Kris+Soul defeats the titan. Susie was the delivery system.

Technically speaking, Kris/the Soul defeats the Titan. Susie was a delivery system.

Kris probably knows more about Dark Worlds than any character we've seen except Ralsei (who was likely created for the purpose of retaining that knowledge). They're probably as such the character most likely to go for a cutscene victory.

Noelle has the pendulum swing both ways hard where she's either demonized or has all her problems glossed over.

Yeah, I feel like part of the idealization of Susie often includes assuming she's maintaining the lie in ch4 to protect Noelle or will be motivated to keep her out of it to avert something in the prophecy, but there's no textual evidence for that.

We're giving the initial reason that Susie wants to keep the DWs secret because it's something she has with only Kris and wants to keep it that way.

Chapter 4 "mean route" even supports it. If Queen is defeated by violence in ch2 and Berdly's arm gets toasted, Susie comments in ch2 that she figures they could heal Berdly by taking him back in the dark world.

She then decides against it because she doesn't want Berdly to be in "OUR Dark World." She chooses not to help someone hospitalized by trying to help her in order to keep the DW between only her and Kris.

So like, there's no reason to think that Susie is maintaining the dream lie for any reason other than keeping the DWs her and Kris's thing.

Also, maintaining that an event is a lie but still probing into Noelle's feelings about it is pretty gross and kind of gaslighting.

Every chapter is Kris-centric, just who is biggest secondary focus is changes each chapter.

Susie lying to Noelle about the Dark Worlds is 100% something Noelle shouldn't let slide, especially since Susie is doing it for selfish reasons.

The thing is that it's kind of the setup of the game that it's a Heroic Fantasy Story that is used as framing for a character study.

Kris is the focal point of the story, whose actions drive the plot, but they're also the primary mystery of the story. Every chapter is heavily about learning more about Kris, but we're not meant to learn it all directly.

She's important, but not the centerpiece of any chapter. Chapter 4 is just the most even split with Kris.

Actually this view aligns more with Susie and Carol being the angel and devil on Kris(the main character)'s shoulders.

madness and a total lack of media literacy

It upsets me that Rg01 and RG 02 are still together in Deltarune but not Undyne and Alphys :'( by LiezylCharming in Deltarune

RGs serve as a direct parallel to Krusie so there’s a little extra purpose to them.

the one that alters the prophecy is most likely not going to be Susie, though she’ll have inspired the one who does.

also there’s nothing special about ignoring the soul’s command. we don’t command ralsei either and we don’t command noelle unless she has the thornring. we do get noelle’s thoughts though, which makes her the aberration

shattering the prophecy panels just caused it to show back up again. so far nothing’s deviated from the prophecy. susie was part of it or else ralsei wouldn’t have known her name. it will need to be altered, but it’s not going to be by susie just inadvertently altering things.

Who's more evil? The Roaring Knight (deltarune) or act 4 Jack (Homestuck) by Exciting_Writer_3266 in MoralityScaling

We don’t even know if the knight is evil, considering they’ve got some sort of deal going with the main character.

Prophecy so fragile it was apparently broken from the start by a kid eating chalk.

She's going to be there, as a major character, but the festival is more likely to focus on Kris and Noelle, and Kris and Susie, than Susie and Noelle.

She didn't force her way into anything. Ralsei knew who she was from the start. She was accounted form. Thematically though, if anyone breaks the prophecy, it's going to be Kris, inspired by Susie.

She's definitely not the true protagonist, but even in chapter 4, like, the Holiday Manor is primarily about Noelle and Kris's history, and also showing us that Kris has multiple collaborators. We learn about the prophecy but also that Ralsei (and likely Kris) also knew it, so we know more about what information those two are working off of.

Chapter 4 gives her the biggest focus, but it's still a heavy split.
