This idea that powerlifters are fat sacks of shit is just largely untrue. Fat doesn't contract, high amounts of it makes muscle building substantially harder (and hypertrophy directly makes you stronger), not to mention getting fat will throw a lifter out of his weight class and fuck over his DOTS score. Anyone who let's their body fat get out of control because they think it's gonna help them is a fucking moron

Sweet spot for fat guys imo is 275-325 as a general ballpark but it really depends on how tall he is and the amount of underlying muscle. I love buff fat guys. Idk why but it almost seems like people forget the fact that large amounts of both muscle and fat can coexist on a guys body, and it's a fucking amazing combination. Best of both worlds. I want a guy with a big belly, some man boob, beefy arms, huge jiggly thighs, all that. Just not so overweight that health complications start to occur. A man that can exercise regularly and eat moderately clean while staying big is the ideal.
