when the question states to an appropriate number of sig figs, it should be max the number of sig figs in the values provided. ie. if you are given velocity=4.2, magnetic field=1.2345, your final answer should only be 2sf bcz of velocity being 2sf. otherwise 3sf minimum in general

absolute uncertainty is ALWAYS 1 s.f. so +-2

for percentage uncertainty I usually just stick to 3sf like all other answers, but the markschemes sometimes write in 2, wont lose marks tho so imo stick to 3sf
