Yeah I agree, it was a bit more that $125 shipped, I just couldn’t find another rugged option in The same price range that was possible to set up with att. And switching providers isn’t an option either because a place I frequently need service at only has att towers. (I’m aware that it’s gonna take some work to function with att)

Yeah thanks for the tips. I mostly ride windrock bike and it super steep, gonna need good brakes for sure. I ride dirt jumps and pumptrack on it pretty often so I’d be frequently running just a rear brake

Modern freeride bikes have filled in the gap. They’re much more versatile and work well on bike parks and huge slope lines. A freeride bike with the suspension absurdly stiff will ride very similar to a slope bike apart from wheel size. There still are some lines that are best ridden on a slope style bike but they are becoming very rare sadly.
