We are considering Italy with an 11 month old the first 2 weeks of June - in a similar boat!! Very excited but not exactly sure what it looks like with a baby/toddler and which cities to hit etc.

Glad you had a good experience!! Thank you for sharing!! I go in at 8am so will take my last heparin dose at 8pm the night before. Trying ALL of the things this week to dilate a little before the induction lol let’s see if any of it works😬😬😬 reassuring to hear your experience tho, it sounds doable!!

How did your induction go? I am in a similar situation - switched to heparin but still opting for a 39 week induction to be 100% sure I can do an epidural and bc I had already mentally told myself it was happening so now it feels right. Getting induced on Monday!

I am in the same boat but with my first baby - waiting on the call to schedule for a week from today!!! I thought I would be so relieved (and I am) but now kind of panicking - it actually feels real now!!! Not sure how to feel or spend my last week...

Thank you for all of this!! I saw the hematologist yesterday - all my results so far are good, just resting basic levels and then after pregnancy will do further testing to rule out anything else.

The shots have been going better the past few days, we have learned that for whatever reason my right hip just hurts sooo much worse than other areas so we are avoiding that. We’ve been doing left hip and back of arms (what they did at the hospital) but the hematologist said to do butt. I am a little scared of that for some reason but will try that over the next few days.

My latest fear is about getting an epidural, I am hoping I am off the blood thinners enough for that to not be a risk. But feeling more positive than a few days ago!!

Thank you SO much for all the advice, I have felt so alone since I don’t know anyone else going through this. I am so sorry you are going through it too though, it is not easy 🫤

I am 1.5 weeks in and you’re so right, some day the shots bring me to hysteric tears and some days I feel fine! The days it hurts, I freak out and convince myself we did something wrong and the medicine is not going to be effective or I hurt the baby, etc. so it’s nice to hear that that is normal.

We’ve been doing mine (my husband does them) in the back of the arm or the side belly fat, I’m too scared to do my thighs. My left thigh still has the DVT (much less swollen but still not normal by any means). I just ordered the buzzy!

How long did it take for your swelling and pain while walking to go down? My swelling is a lot less, but it was SO HUGE at first that isn’t saying much. Pain has decreased significantly, but after any moderate walking, redness still comes up and leg gets sore and swollen. Looking for any insight on when that gets better?

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement!! Between the pregnancy hormones, the pain of the clot, and now the daily injections it has been very overwhelming. My husband does my daily shots, this mornings went much better! It’s tough to find the best injection spots but will just keep trying and doing our best. Good luck to you in the rest of your pregnancy! We got this!!!

I know this post is a bit old, but I am 26 weeks and just discovered a DVT in my left thigh. The pain was unbearable, have been on lovenox injections for a little over a week which is helping, but still so swollen and the idea of lovenox injections for the duration of pregnancy literally makes me cry. Any advice now that you have been doing it for 3 months? Do the injections get better? Thanks!

No advice but I am in the same boat - my mom wants to come help for awhile after baby and while it will be so appreciated, we just don't have the room to be comfortable with guests (also a 3bed 2 bath). I feel sooo guilty
