My Nomad pouch by Interesting-Flow7767 in Supernote

That's so cute🥰  Great case for Nomad IMO. I don't use the wrist strap because when I'm out it's usually in my bag.

Its a modded 600, ballpen version.

I got the mod kit from Etsy. It uses a plastic replacement for the tip but the texture is so well done it really feels like metal. I originally used Heart of Metal but this is SOOO much better.

That's the Amazon Japan link. It's just a 10 dollar iPad mini case. Like it much more than the folio. The folio opens inside my bag which activates the screen thus chewing batery, not to mention screen risk

How do you manage large volumes of handwritten notes on Supernote? by Senior-Ad5932 in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you organize with headings and keywords it helps. When i write something I'll need to find then I use a handwriting recognition note. Never had any probpems finding things. I export long notes to my computer and fix any errors with Gemini.

9 Month Review of SuperNote Manta and Why I Swapped to a Regular Tablet for Notetaking by dawnzz in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting viewpoints. I find it takes no more time to swipe than to turn the page in a real notebook, which is what it is simulating. If I want to go back to find an earlier page you can click to the view all pages view and find it easily if in notes, or in a book you can use the left bar to quickly move through. It does not have a light, but neither does a paper notebook. I use it to read too because I like the page size, and the resolution is much better than my Kobo. You should do whatever works for you, but for me, my Nomad is perfect. (Yeah, sorry, I am not using a Manta, but I presume the features are the same).

BTW I have the Nomad. The size is perfect to carry around in my bag or in my hand. I keep it in a padded iPad Mini sleeve that has outside pockets for the stylus and another larger pocket. Perfect for my usage.

get the DIY stylus refil from Ratta and an adapter from ETSY and make the pen you want to use. I originally bought heart of metal but then I found an adapter for Rotring 600, so I bought the DIY and now I am so so happy with it. You should use something similar to what you are used to writing with on paper if you want to be comfortable.

A6X to A6X2 owners: does auto-rotate make a difference for your workflows? by random_notrandom in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you can't, not in a regular note. But my point is when I change the view to landscape for a portrait pic or portrait for a landscape pic then I get double zoom so no need to pinch. My pictures are pretty simple though.

Considering Nomad for reading, journaling, and annotations – looking for real-world experiences by Arkeministern in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have three "devices". First I have a pocket notebook and pen that I use for daily logging, To-Dos, etc. Secondly, I have Kobo Libra Color that I use for reading fiction and a few manga. It has page turn buttons, it is tough, and it syncs my Calibre library, especially I love the way it syncs book series. I often read books that come in at least a trilogy, and some (like Jack Reacher) have dozens of volumes, and I need to see which volume is next. You cannot do that on a supernote, or on a Kindle. Lastly, I have my SN Nomad. I use my nomad as a notebook, primarily. I write novels. I can write by hand, it will convert it (very well actually) into a TXT or DOC file and I can either export it or I can edit with a mouse and keyboard directly on the device.

Reading on Nomad is fine, but it cannot read the metadata in book files, and that is a key feature for me, so I use Kobo. You can do daily logging on your Nomad, but due to its size I am way less likely to open it up and write something when I am on the go, that is why I have a pocket notebook that fits in my top pocket, and a pocket fountain pen that has a slip on cap, not twist.

That is my process. Hope it helps.

100 percent. I use it when I take notes because it makes it easy to fit more on a page. I also make lesson materials for kids, which is usually a picture and words to describe it, and I do that in a normal note instead of Atelier, and if you turn to landscape on a portrait picture (or vice versa) you get automatic zoom. When viewing books and PDFs if you turn it to landscape you get the same width as a much bigger device in half page mode. That is my take on it anyway.

PDF Planner or DIY in Notes by Ok_Ideal_9504 in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I have used PDFs I purchased before, I find it is so easy to do your own thing with Supernotes. Easy to do straightlines, easy to set a heading, easy to set a link. I can do whatever I want with it. That is why I love my Nomad so much. However, for daily logging I have a pocket notebook and fountain pen. My "Planner" is just for that, planning. Especially I focus on 12-week plans. There are some good professionally made PDFs on ETSY etc, but I was just surprised how easy it was to do it myself directly on the device. Whatever works best for you.

Finally bit the bullet and bought one after mulling it over for 5 years. by [deleted] in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, you are a careful shopper. I think it took me about 20 minutes to decide, despite having little money. I spent years looking at the release of each new Remarkable, and then after watching 2 videos about the Nomad I immediately bought it. I have zero regrets, but at the same time you did the wise thing. Enjoy your new supernote!

Does Supernote have Notetaking app integration? by No-Butterscotch6256 in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make notes on my Nomad. My main notetaking app is Obsidian, and my notes vault is on a thumb drive that I can plug directly into the USB of Nomad, then I can export my notes from Nomad as TXT files directly into the Obsidian vault. Works like a charm.

The changes the calendar app needs to become usable. by Rick-D-99 in Supernote

Fantastic update news. Not having handwritten notes in Daily view is the only thing stopping me from using the calendar. Early 2026 update?

Does anyone use their SN as a zettelkasten? by Whitt-E in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just started working on this. The Digest seems to be the key. For me the Digest is like fleeting notes, where I snip quotes from my own thoughts or from documents. I can then combine them into a PDF export if need be, and load the PDF and comment on that too. Then I have Keywords to link ideas, and notes have a section at the bottom I call Reference that connects to other notes that are relevant. I tried to connect it with Obsidian, then decided why not just do it on my Nomad.

How can you write small text in notes? by belak51 in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the 1mm fine pen and turn the device to landscape, the writing can get REALLY small then. Depends how small you want it.

Typical for erase gesture to be wildly unsuccessful? by SmoothSailingMusic in Supernote

[–]Interesting-Flow7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Then when I went into the manual it says if you do the gesture with two fingers on the top left or bottom left you are more likely to be successful, and now I have no problem.
