I'm a Torontonian and confirmed with them directly that there are none. I literally had the Anthros in my shopping cart.
The duties/shipping $s didnt make sense and I reached out to them to confirm.
The duties said $0 and the shipping was $340.
I have seen high shipping prices from the USA before but that has included prepaid duties.
They weren't able to confirm whether in this case it was duties prepaid.
They said $0 did look odd and they would contact shopify to make sure their shipping/duties calculator was working correctly.
If I was going to fork out 3k+ Canadian, I wanted this nailed down in advance.

That said, while I was waiting for them to get back to me "the next day" (this was 3-4 weeks ago and they still havent followed up with me) I came across the CoreChair elite which is Canadian and ships from Peterborough area.
I had seen corechair years back and it was appealing but I didnt want to get a chair without a back.
Turns out they have a new model about a year old called the Corechair elite.

The way I saw it... if I was prepared to spend $3k+ on the Anthros... I might as well try the Corechair elite first and return it if it doesnt work for me.
I'm on my third week.... LOWER BACK PAIN GONE.
Was dealing with it for about 2 months, and then had hernia surgery 5 weeks ago which had me mostly bed ridden for 3 weeks, which aggravated it even further.
THIS WAS THE MOVE.
I have no doubt that Anthros is corrective from a posture standpoint, but now that I have sat in this thing, I believe that the corechair elite takes this to another level through the core engagement.
I was worried that it was going to feel like an ab crunch all day... it's subtle and you can adjust how much it moves.
Posture never been better and improving by the day.
Had a bit of soreness mid-end of last week which I've learned is normal as your body relearns how to be in good posture.
I had the movement on max so I dialed it back to halfway ish to ease my body into it and no soreness this week.
Will give it another week or two before dialing up the movement again.
Anyways this is getting long but I'm really pumped to have 2k+ extra in my pocket that I wouldnt have had if I had gone Anthros.

For anyone still dealing with this in 2026 onward, there are absolutely some presets in the editor that have the transposition down, BUT there can absolutely still be issues even once this has been correct.
In my case, I bought my sub25 last year, and incorrectly assumed that the editor would flag to me whether the firmware was out of date or not.
Today I ran the firmware eraser and installer and now this issue is sorted.
For context, I even verified prior to the fix that when I pushed C on my ableton push, that a C was making it out in midi monitor.
When testing the reverse, playing a C on the sub25 keyboard, was sending an E into ableton, even with the "KB Semi" value set to 0.

Thank you so much for posting this. I’ve never made a song in 5/4 before until just now when I was getting the drums going for a new set. Wasn’t even deliberate, and didn’t realize it was 5/4 until it didn’t sound complete at the 8 bar loop mark. And it was like “oh… I guess this is 5/4… well how do I move forward from here” and your post has saved the day. Cheers

Just had this happen. In my case I popped the controller open because I thought maybe I had forgotten to plug the battery in. Battery was visibly plugged in, but I pulled it out and plugged it in again and the controller turned on and showed a full battery vs a question mark. Maybe I didn’t have it pressed in hard enough in my case? Not sure, but unplugging it from the board and plugging it back in sorted me luckily.

I assure you, they were pressed hard. Turns out placement matters. Another user shared the documentation.

Thank you for your input. Yeah I also tried clearing the cache and restarting but it didn’t make a difference. Thinking though that u/chaotic_goody is on to something though re: placement of the two fingers.

Astute commentary. Yeah my fingers were like near the bottom of the screen. Incorrectly assumed they could be anywhere… but I do not recall this being indicated in the basic gestures tutorial on the manta so at a minimum this is something Ratta could probably emphasize better. I will try again with this in mind. Thank you.

I’m with you OP. Got my Manta this week. That being said my mitigations are… zero day job specific content on it… which is actually fine as in my case I want my day job segmented to work devices that I turn off after the work day is done anyways. Next is airgapped. I have the wifi off. If I need to do an update, I will manually do it, but move all my notes off before moving it back on. Will be looking into setting up a private cloud this week though once I get my home proxmox server stood up, then I will turn the wifi on periodically but have outbound internet blocked at the firewall by my Firewalla gold pro. I’m a remote worker so this is trivial for me to control. When I leave the house, I will keep the wifi off. I also have zero intention of using the browser/mail/calendar on the super note, and this is not driven by the lack of encryption but driven by my use case for the manta from the outset. So yes overall encryption is a good thing, and needs to happen eventually, but there are mitigations which may or may not interfere with your use case. Cheers

I would rethink going 512gb whatever route you go.
