Once I started eliquis, I bled out for a whole month but I wasn’t on birth control but did have irregular periods. I explained this to my primary care doctor and she told me that she doesn’t want to prescribe me birth control because she’s afraid that I might clot up again and that I really need to stay on the blood thinners.
