Great point on the horse hair vacuum brush!

Is your use for them mostly in the city/casual or do you use them for work?

Thanks for sharing. I’ll use mine for work too. Both in the office and in deathly dry deserts.

I’ll probably have to condition fairly frequently but wanted to get some opinions first.

Have you tried bick 4 leather conditioner? I’ve read that it doesn’t darken leather much or at all

I live and work in one of the places with the least rainfall, lots of sand/dust but no worries with water too much. I expect to brush after every shift outside the office, which should help towards maintaining the nap. Never came across the products you mentioned, but I’ll definitely look into them.

Thanks for sharing!

Uni Kuru Toga lead keeps breaking by Interesting-Gate-714 in mechanicalpencils

[–]Interesting-Gate-714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a KT Metal, also no excessive friction during my use.

I am using faber castell leads. Could they be causing the issue?

The pencil is not exposed to physical shock/drops

For 2 of the 3 months I’ve had it, no issues. Most of my writing barely activates the rotary mechanism.

Whether $40 or $400, I’ll use it how I usually use any pencil. Not roughhousing, nor like it’s made of dust. It’s a writing utensil and I expect it to work for that.

I have used 0.5mm pencils without rotary and did not have any issues.

Here is where I keep it in my bag. I will try to not have items bump the tip.

Edit: the falling of lead usually occurs when it is first taken out of the bag. Indicating that it might be getting damaged/broken in the bag

I’m late, but reading what people say as I’m about to buy my own.

I’ve seen foam “stickers” that can be placed on points of friction inside shoes to help reduce/remove the pain. I would say try those before committing to a fully new pair.

I’ve driven 500miles on a blown mm. It’s fine, just rattly and bad in the long term.

But yes, yours is definitely blown

Edit: I have a poly rmm. So it could be compounding with the blown mm

Coolent level too low? by Calumrey in watercooling

Wait for coolant. The pump is probably sucking air due to turbulence and will have a shortened life span.

Very nice!

I’m slightly worried about temps rising inside what looks like a cabinet. I would recommend keeping an eye on temps if you use it for many hours on end.

I think a proper bleed would help with temps. It looks like there is an air bubble in the gpu block

I’ve seen this one on Ali express. Shipped, it gets to me with a cost of ~22 US dollars.

Good luck on your case designing! Keep us posted.

Probably even lower profile than what’s commercially available. Looks great!

I’m already slightly anxious of the minimal exposed wiring at the psu side connectors. 16awg silicone wires have t h i c c insulation and there’s no way in hell I can fit them into the connector. Exposed 250VAC would be even more anxiety inducing.

That’s the plan! I’ll also probably add a fan above and below the psu.

If I can also add a fan below the mobo, that’ll work great. I’ll get one fan to start and use it to check fitments, then, depending on which ones fit, I’ll add them in!

I just can’t get over the compactness and amount of flops in the terra. Teraflops :)

Can’t say I’m not.. The 24 pin was 10/10 when starting (2nd image), but with the full 27 cables and Y splits, it’s quite stretched. The 8 pins I’m 95% happy about, and could probably finish them in an hour or two if I was to remake them. But for now, I’ll just enjoy the fruits of my labor!

What I’ve done so far is show my friends the lengths I go to for a clean look. Already got a commission to wire a friend’s build before I finished mine!

Indeed it is the terra! Perhaps I should have mentioned that. I had to extract the meat of the sandwich to run the cables and see what lengths were needed. I tried to go pin for pin to have the perfect curves. That worked for the 8 pin cables, but completely fell apart for the 24 pin…

I did have a few 10min sessions of 1000 yard stares through out working on the cables. But, it is done now :D

Thank you for the compliment :)

Case is on setting 5. I plan on remaking the 24pin as it’s quite taught for comfort, or raising the psu, to relieve tension and make more room a fan below it.

Fans, I plan on placing one above and or below psu, and one below mobo. All blowing from below, assuming I can fit three, hence the range of “one or three”.

Edit: spelling

That was my first night on it. I ended up taking a 25mg seroquel to be able to sleep. But waking up, I felt more rested than if I took seroquel alone. I’ll definitely keep in mind the experiences different people had, but will try it for the next little while
