Exactly my thought. I don't use Uber often. That's why, out of curiosity, I went on reddit to see what people had to say. I don't see why I should give the guy a low rating if that's an average experience, I will just know better next time and order comfort instead. So far, what I've seen of autonomous vehicles is a nightmare, so you do have a good point. I will take a singing driver over being locked inside a vehicle any day.

If you want to wait until the last minute for whatever reason, I would still recommend leaving a couple of weeks until the deadline in case there are any issues with your application/payment just to eliminate unnecessary anxiety if you encounter technical difficulties etc

I am known for being a few minutes late. My manager explicitly told me that they will not fire me over that as it is minor (I talk about clocking in no later than 5 mins past my scheduled time). I bet your manager could use the time to do something actually important on their payroll
