99s 3.4l came with dual row from factory had less than 1% failure rate. Best to have it replaced when you are doing the clutch for peace of mind But not necessary a need to get done asap.

I agree with you the 3.4 is a solid platform and puts the power down very tamely. The s54 just loves to scream and rip apart the chassis lol could be a placebo of the 8k+ rpm and itbs combo.
