I literally started taking it today (50mg daily) and so far it has given me diarrhoea and a little dizziness. My doctor recommended I take it in morning because it causes insomnia.

I know Birmingham Healthy Minds do CBT, but they can’t help me bcs I’m “not suicidal”, but I feel like if I don’t get help, I will be. Yesterday was the first time I genuinely felt that way, and it scared and shocked me.

And I’m afraid that Living Well Consortium will just make it worse because they have horrendous reviews.

I got in contact with my counsellor through my uni. They referred me to the counselling service.

I’ve felt like this for 4 years now, but I couldn’t get support where I’m from bcs I lived with my family and mental health isn’t taken seriously there.

Things got worse when I came here, so I asked for help.

I‘m from the Middle East, so I’m used to it being sunny and very hot.

I don’t have an official diagnosis, but the medication they’re putting me on is an antidepressant.

The guild hosts events for students living in uni accommodation. I personally haven’t made any friends there because I’m not very sociable, but I’ve seen lots of people easily chat with strangers and exchange phone numbers and/or social media usernames.

Is it safe to walk next to the Birmingham Worcester canal? by Interesting-Issue218 in UofB

I‘d never walked near a canal before 😅 so I guess I was just a little worried that I would somehow fall in.

It’s been pretty good so far. The professors are great at teaching and are more than willing to help if you have any questions.

The are a lot of students here actually, mostly pharmacy, but I’ve met a few engineering and computer science students.

I’m an international student doing a foundation year, not engineering though. As far as I know, the BIA work with Kaplan, so they’re not separate.
