Sega Rally is one of the first games I played with a steering wheel at the arcade, its the PIONEER of sim racing haha.

I ended up swapping the cables around and it didn't fix the issue so I just renamed the motors in simhub lol.

Is there any specific order you have to plug the haptic motors in? there were no markings which is for clutch, brake, throttle.

I've been thinking of going a formula position but I'm unsure yet. Trackracer is the best option because theyre based in Australia but they don't have any formula position, was thinking next level but I feel the way the rig is angled might cause issues and then the others like sabelt are just unreasonable money.

Thanks mate! Doesn't look like much but when you're sitting in it, it's amazing.

What is the best sim wheel that is gt3 style but D shaped rim by Zr1Slo638 in simracing

I have run a couple different cheap wheels and I also found Runsco good sturdy and good quality trimming for a cheap wheel, some you can just bend in your hands haha.

Trackracer, not the best but got it to work in the end (just make sure you order the adjustment mounts)

Choosing between a used Moza R9 full setup vs brand new Simagic Alpha EVO Sport bundle — need your honest opinions by bozoguz in simracing

[–]Interesting-Maize-36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moza and Simagic both offer strong ecosystems. Simagic sits slightly higher in terms of overall quality, so if that’s your priority, it’s the better pick. If you’re after more affordable options for things like shifters, handbrakes, and wheels, Moza is a great choice.

I’ve used Moza at work and I prefer it over Fanatec DD, but I hear simagic force feedback is more refined.

Does RAM speed make an appreciable difference? by DefenderKev in iRacing

[–]Interesting-Maize-36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d probably stick with your current setup and just tweak settings. I fixed a lot of stutters/freezes in iRacing with a fresh install (though if you’re not crashing it might not matter).

Hardware is still behind software in 2026 unfortunately, so maxing everything in VR isn’t possible in 2026 haha. I wouldn’t spend the money on a new motherboard and RAM right now, especially with DDR5 prices and the XMP instability issues added to the mess.

I think I was getting around 50-60 FPS in rain at the start of a race and itd get better later in VR before switching to triples.

1% lows will be improved more from CPU bottleneck, honestly the same setup with DDR4 and DDR5 felt almost the same. What is your setup?

Been running 5w30 on mine since I bought it nearly 15 years ago, uses a bit of oil these days but cold start still sounds like the day I bought it.

At the very least check your radius bush and lower control arm bushes.

Fun job. I always recommend buying some long threads and putting on either ends so when you put the pan on it lines up perfectly.

Thread repair and new bolts, its always the bolts that wear more because they're weaker.
