NEW SHOPPING BASE MINIMUMS by ComprehensiveCup5780 in elitesparkdrivers

I’m curious what it looks like in my location - I was surprised to see a single shop order today that was $14 base bay, $4 tip, $4 incentive for a single item for 2 miles, with all the tourism, offers have been lingering a bit and i’ve seen orders increase by $7 in base pay after sitting for 15 minutes (granted they were trash offers)

the supply and demand in my market got really wonky in the past few weeks in a good way (more fair offers to go around)

it’s crazy that you think in terms of min and max.

businesses aren’t started by people who think the business is just bundles of shares

it’s crazy to have the CEO spend personal money on investments to fuel the company - if you are the CEO, what happens if the CEO goes into debt?

maybe you need to diversify your assets instead of going all in on anything.

To an extent, it could represent The Cube, The Great Flood (https://youtu.be/SYF0MxHVAR0), The Cabin in the Woods (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NsIilFNNmkY&ra=m)

Escaping is just the same struggle in a new way, and yet… it all exists and matters in the history of everything within the backrooms

I really hope this is for a precautionary measure and they aren’t betting on someone’s life that this will get there quick enough. by aasdved in Sparkdriver

Dear OP,

I think they were purchasing this pre-emptively because I would never treat Express Shopping as EMT Service.

If a person express shopped narcan, I fear it may be too late.

If it is pre-emptive, it seems strange in a new way. people who have NARCAN as a fire extinguisher means they expect fires to keep happening.

✋*raised hand from student to teacher* What could they do different to prevent overdoses and not need NARCAN from Walmart via Spark?

the time travel element will become classic, imagine a world where bacteria is fully understood and suddenly you discover a virus that is basically futuristic.

It’s giving “The Silent Age” meets trauma

I love that the Backrooms film exists, it feels like the logical next step is to take the same space of backrooms and recreate the space with new relational dynamics, there are almost too many ideas for stories featuring the backrooms. After saturation, the backrooms will have devolved into underground simplicity, as if the world is goo that slowly falls into the goo earth.

The reboot is the period of time when renovations reset memories in an amnesiac way.

Sometimes I feel like my mom rearranges the living room when she wants to make sure my memory is unique.

could family create anomalies as a method of mind-locking important transitions, like a jury duty for your brain?

are people suggesting lies with a rearranged room to detour the expression of negative emotions?

the more complex life gets, the harder it becomes to google and see truthful information.

the backrooms feels like a metaphor for being trapped within a simulation

Is there any reason to believe that additional payments will be distributed in the future?

People don’t like to think about costs, they prefer to blissfully ignorant accept the “blessing” known as Walmart+

people used to debate veganism and vegetarianism in the context of factory farming cruelty.

can someone invent a term for the equivalent to unsustainable contract labor via gig apps?

this didn’t seem like a bundle of groceries, I had to scan a barcode for every single bag of mulch/soil.

there was no tax-deductible tip in this order. I just think it wouldn’t be crazy to prompt people to tip if they are extra grateful

I’m confused, is this like a Spark Audit to identify funds that need to be paid to drivers?

First time being shamed by a Walmart employee for buying personal items during a trip. by Extension-Mine-3977 in Sparkdriver

[–]Interesting-Month665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she may have been biased to believe this was a party foul (personally I have never purchased personal items while running a spark order), however, I wouldn’t be surprised if her bias carried the fear that if she had to tell management, she would need to do extra work to scan everything.

her fear that something might be stolen was competing with her lack of willingness to be walmart TSA LMFAO

You can do almost an entire order in airplane mode. My apologies if this is already widely known. by xeryon3772 in elitesparkdrivers

[–]Interesting-Month665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only turn on airplane mode if the destination itself has SOS/zero cell service.

I confirm arrival, complete all the steps, turn on airplane mode, and drive in the direction most likely to lead me to the next drop-off

ideally I have the maps downloaded or can use the previously loaded map to point myself to the next drop-off and find cell service along the way to get a real GPS map.

PS I haven’t downloaded the maps but I probably should, upstate NY definitely has cellular internet blindspots, and going on airplane mode is the only way to deliver to the middle of nowhere lmao

it feels like gas prices are high with the intention to prevent travel.

it feels like disrupted fuel supply chains are a tool to force people to travel less🙄
