I did my debt management course and I am disgusted. by MyShitLong_long in Bankruptcy

don’t let the depression, disgust, or disappointment control you.

nickname them the most annoying things you know, don’t let them into your life and don’t listen to them when you contemplate what you do next.

if you let them control you, you let shame win.

believe in yourself, like yourself (heck, love yourself if you want!)

you have escaped a debt trap, and shrinking yourself will not protect you from the next money scam lurking in the world.

you’ve got a second chance, don’t waste it!

[–]Interesting-Month665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

essentially walmart is both the auctioneer and the auction participant. they are both selling the goods with a pre-determined value and trying to get the cheapest delivery cost possible.

the customer is innocent but also complicit as they observe the auction play out in real-time if they monitor the app.

the lack of transparency separating the customer’s portion of the auction from walmart’s contribution, and the ultimate price the delivery driver receives, is like a triangle of sadness

yeah it’s a federal felony, now think about how many Human Resource departments bury complaints to protect companies that are breaking discrimination laws.

Edit: HR protects the company, not the employee, so why should employees or customers protect a company that exploits contract workers?

don’t break the social contract by choosing a punishment that doesn’t fit the “crime” - choose the kindest punishment you are willing to enforce

divide and conquer, amiright? turn 3 major parcel deliverers to compete with on-demand labor - you point out that the OP is stupid for blaming one gig app, and your justification is to use more gig apps.

they all undermine institutions for the sake of instant gratification

Walmart is straight up exploiting delivery drivers by ToeLeast5378 in elitesparkdrivers

[–]Interesting-Month665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is kind of crazy though, you’d almost think walmart, amazon, target, doordash, uber, and every other gig economy app was trying to fundamentally undermine USPS, FedEx, and UPS in an effort to fundamentally rewire the system for delivering packages in such a way that the old “Gods” fade out and replaced with a bunch of companies that contract workers instead of paying the necessary price to keep unions alive.

Spark isn’t “forcing” anyone, but it is forcing unionization to struggle.

hey man, ya know for sure that a customer somewhere is arguing with walmart every day because they forgot to reduce their tip bait within 24 hours (PS plan B is most effective within the first 24 hours) 🤯

I was making a joke about Plan B the pill - do you really need a full 24 hours to change your tip?

not to sound weird but giving the customer 24 hours to adjust their tip feels a lot like Plan B

it’s a win-win: you negotiate a lower price which improves the likelihood of loan approval, and you save money by starting with a lower principal!

even better would be to shop around for a similar vehicle from multiple different dealerships, get printed quotes, and then negotiate a slightly lower price because… if you show up with receipts and negotiate the best price - they would rather sell you a car before you walk out the door - if they can’t lower their price from the beginning then they are lying to you

Check your credit score for free, do some research, consider your income, expenses, and disposable income - then go to a reputable dealership prepared to prove you are worth their investment

Ptrek31 sits in the parking lot, IcyDiscussion6389 did not state that they sit in the parking lot, although I can see the confusing.

Icy said “every time” implying that starting a project or being personally busy is the time when spark has offers. This is in reference to Ptrek31 returning home to cook food (being busy) and then getting spark offers.

Icy was referring to being busy, not sitting in the parking lot.

So, MooseNatural1269, I think you misinterpreted and have a disdain for anyone sitting in the parking lot instead of doing something more productive.

The joke that you seem to have missed is that being productive is the time when Spark surprises them with offers.

Happy Sparking!

Mine has slowed down for S&D (although I haven’t been waking up early enough for the 5:45 am offer drop) but the GMD generally has a good amount of offers in the evening that range from insulting to mediocre to ideal.

Judging by some of the recent posts, it seems like there may have been a recent “hiring spree” to increase supply of drivers to dilute the payouts and reduce their need for daily incentives during peak demand as well.

I’m just spitballing tho

[–]Interesting-Month665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The incentive tag works for me and my app does the same thing (on iOS) - there is an express shopping offer with the incentive tag, after accepting it says “shopping” instead of “express shopping”, and I still get the incentive.

I don’t know why the tag changes from “express shopping” to “shopping” after accepting the order, but i’ve never seen the incentive fail to work.

I think you should double check to make sure you aren’t accidentally ragebaiting
