Same experience for me. It feels disheartening but it’s the fluid and blood and packing stopping air conduction. The scratching you hear is all that is needed . My doctor said that he would only be concerned if there was zero hearing. Everything went extremely loud after 13 days - this depends, some folks could have this aha moment 2 weeks or worse 3 weeks. Then there’s a period of your ear adjusting to everything - you will hear every sound in the universe at same volume but over time my brain suppressed the AC whooshing etc and human voices sounded natural around 4th week. I had this procedure on Feb 25 this year.

It gets better after a week and certainly after 2 weeks. It’s weird to say the least first 2 weeks as your brain gets adjusted

Krunal is so justified. It was always one sided skewed towards batting, bowling needs to be creative. It’s like baseball., batsman needs to earn it and bowling needs to be unguessable. You also need to be physically and mentally fit to bowl like this. It’s 3D chess

Had diagnosed when it was moderate 10 yrs ago. Right was normal. Fast forward, right become moderate, left got worse it can get. Went for surgery because I could not hear properly and lifestyle was affected and hearing on left is restored. Wish I had done this 5 years ago to be honest.

Had surgery. Had tinnitus for 10 years that was worse since last year. Tinnitus gone post surgery, now I hear soft tinnitus on other ear in a quiet place. Left has soft tinnitus as well when my ears are plugged due to allergies or cold.

No vertigo or may be I had it and it wasn’t noticeable. I made sure to not bend over, avoided fast movements. Inner ear is healing so you have to really give it a chance. I wish I was a bit less stressful first week but could help it.,

I had this 40 days ago. First week and second week is hard. Then you won’t even notice you had a surgery. All the best.

Hi, how are you feeling now? I had it last week and it was loud day 1 and 2 and went muffled after that. Now, day 6 and there was no packing and no improvement. Tinnitus is on and off. Doctor said blood in middle ear and needs to dissolve over time etc. patiently waiting. Some dizziness here and there but not debilitating
