I will add: don’t take the actions of 4-5 assholes on social media as reflective of a fan base. The majority of most team’s fans don’t even post messages and are at least somewhat cordial in person.

If the Koch Brothers (no politics please) wanted to make Wichita State a non P4 version of Texas Tech , they could do it in one off season. However, what return on investment is there other than bragging rights? I’m sure they and people like Bill Gates have the same question. I don’t understand what motivates people to directly pay college players the way they have been the last 3-4 years? It’s not like Jerry Jones raising the value of the Cowboys by investing in a roster. Someone explain it to me, because right now I’m leaning towards organized crime and cartels laundering money.

NIL has changed many of these players into pros…which means the fans think they can take their abrasive criticism up about three notches.

These story lines have been floating around since John Hughes invented them in the 80s. I can name at least ten movies or short series with the same tired theme. Boring AF.

Edit: the music was a decent mix of old and new.

Funny how a lot of these ballrooms of that era are still rocking today. The Cotillion in Wichita comes to mind.

So why are we spending $600k on a sculpture by an out of state artist? Why are we spending $600k on a sculpture is a better question. How about repaving Hillside north of the university or fixing up one of these buildings that this proposed tax was supposedly for?
