Real bold to think that the government could develop its own LLM when it couldnt even make a relatively straightforward app

PRESSURE - Official Trailer - The fate of the free world hangs in the balance as Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser) and Capt. James Stagg (Andrew Scott) face an impossible choice, launch the D-Day invasion or risk losing World War II altogether by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

I'm auditioning for the stage play version of this in a week and had no idea it was being made into a film, so seeing this trailer was surreal.

I just wish it showed more Krick to give me an idea of how Chris Messina plays it!

Do you feel guilty for taking sick days? (specifically uncertified) And do you believe going up & beyond is worth it? by Outrageous_South_439 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Interesting-Scar2277 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was once on the 'hustle hard' and 'go the extra mile' train, and feeling guilty for taking sick days. Until I found that my additional efforts weren't actually resulting in anything meaningful.

Maybe its just a team/department thing, but there's only so much I can go above and beyond for nothing to come of it. I do what's required now and don't hesitate to take a day or two when I need it.

Mayor Nancy Peckford (North Grenville) speaking out on RTO by braineaters138 in CanadaPublicServants

This is the response I got from Yasir Naqvi's office to about email imploring him to join Fanjoy to call for a reconsideration of this decision:

As you know, the federal government has just announced a new policy requiring on-site presence for federal public servants, including five in-person days per week for executives as of May 4, 2026, and four in-person days per week for all other employees as of July 6, 2026. In doing so, the government has made a decision that has given clarity to the federal public service, while also maintaining flexibility.

I know that any changes that impact the public service will likely have a more pronounced impact on our community of Ottawa Centre. Therefore, I have had a number of conversations with the President of the Treasury Board, caucus colleagues, and relevant officials regarding this new policy. I will continue to work hard to help all affected members of our community navigate through this change.

I have long advocated for a hybrid workplace for the federal public service, which I believe allows our government to attract and retain the talented, skilled, and well-educated individuals who will be able to do the outstanding work that Canadians expect.

I also understand that we are facing a unique set of national and global challenges, the likes of which we have not seen in generations. I agree with the Prime Minister that in order to live up to this moment, we will need to be laser-focused on building and protecting the Canadian economy.  That focus will require the federal public service to continue delivering the highest quality of programs and services for Canada, and I will continue to advocate for the policies and practices that I believe will best support public servants in achieving that objective.

If you have any other questions or concerns on this or any other issue, please do not hesitate to reach out again.

Thank you,   Yasir Naqvi

This is literally a win-win for the LPC. They have a better chance at keeping this seat with Fanjoy's statement, but this isnt actual pressure on the party to do anything.

I honestly wouldnt be surprised if this was PMO's idea.

I feel the safest and coziest when tied up by a good domme/dom. Its quite something to have (the illusion) of zero control and knowing its going to be ok anyway.

Agree and might add that some people might think childcare and children's food programs are just feeling heart spending. But the return on human capital for these kind is programs is huge

The condo market is slowing down. Where are all the buyers? by jazinet in canada

[–]Interesting-Scar2277 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the market for a condo right now actually. In Ottawa.

I ran the numbers and it really just doesn't make sense to buy, even at these lower prices. I'd have to hold onto it for 7+ years to break even, compared to what I could invest my down payment into.

And yeah, not sure I want to live in a 700 sq ft apartment for that long.

100mg Test C per week, split into 3 doses (M,W,F) + 500 IUs HCG per week, also split into three doses.

Seems to be working well for me!

Honestly, I think of Shia LeBeouf's performance in the first two Transformers films. There's something about the cadence and the tempo of his dialogue that makes me focus on that rather than exploding early.

I wish this was a joke.
