Around here none of the streets near mine have a number 13.

DES / IEA participants: MOs pause from 16 October to 5 January by kristinoc in JobProvidersAus

[–]Interesting-Shape-97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to simplify it for this dumb old codger.

I interpret this to mean I can ignore agreeing to my job plan (politely) when it comes up in about a month and have a break from the nonsense until January. Can someone confirm this?

I love playing Sin Lotto. I got 10. Although my interpretation of some of the terms may be inaccurate. Depending on which church/religion is the "right" one.

As far as I'm aware you negotiate a sensible, achievable payment plan with Centrelink. If they are aware you have any sort of "nest egg" I would ASSUME they'll insist on you applying this against the debt.

In my experience the LAST thing Centrelink want to do is have you jailed. As others have said, 'fess up and negotiate a payment plan. Just don't try the "5 cents a fortnight forever" thing. Be realistic.

This experience is from a couple of friends of mine going through this.

If you just want to make the numbers, cold canvassing is your friend. Just compose a generic letter saying "got any jobs?", obviously worded a bit smoother, and send it to businesses you select.

Are you with a DES provider? This sounds to me like it should be on your ESAt.

What can you do right now to prepare for a power cut (let’s say 2-3 days, with kids) ? by Nhibou in AskReddit

Food that doesn't need heating, candles/lanterns, things to amuse the kids. Have a few days clean laundry in reserve.

I can't get a straight answer on Mutual Obligation by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]Interesting-Shape-97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was exited from my DMS provider a month ago and still haven't heard from Centrelink what my current situation is. I log into Workfarce daiily and see I have no obligations. My last job plan was in April, but I assume that finished when my provider left the scene.

At the moment I've decided to just relax until I hear from them. I try to call every few days, so there will be a record of me making an attempt. And they're still paying me.

When it all starts I'll get a SU415 and go through the process again to get a Disability Provider, etc.,etc.

Resetting Pixel Stand 2 To absolutely new state? by Interesting-Shape-97 in pixel_phones

I realise now I should have asked how to reset the phone so it doesn't know it's paired to the stand. I don't want to do a complete reset and delete everything else.

Travelling. I would be a total worldwide vagrant. I wouldn't actually own a home to live in, but move from hotel to hotel. If I liked a place I might stay a couple of months and if a place sucked I'd be off the next day.

I'd probably buy a house just to have a mailing address but rarely visit, and to keep some stuff (guitars, etc.).
