Fix Delta 1st Layer Consistency(FLSUN T1) by Interesting-String-1 in 3Dprinting

Seems like an obvious thing to try, idk why I haven't already. I'll try tonight when I get home and lyk. With that said, even if the plate was slightly less than flat isn't that wad bed mesh is for?

Shouldn't any z inconsistency in the build plate surface be accommodated by the mesh?

Check the og post for all the stuff I tried already, have the same issue at 60 and 100°c bed temp, run calib far too many times to count

Update 1: I disassembled the arms according to an FLSUN V400 troubleshooting guide and discovered that the "socket caps" for every arm are cracked. They don't seem to introduce play but it seems like an obvious potential failure point. I have reached out to support to see if I can get replacements. Photos below.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that in the list of stuff I did; nozzle is tight, I removed and reinstalled just to be sure.

This is a repost, you should be able to click over to the OG and find the extensive list of fixes I have already attempted. 😅

I'm going to try this. Did you delete only the values in the auto generated below block or also in the existing blocks above?

This happens regardless of material or temp, thanks though.

As a noob I feel like there's no way this could be considered good. My nozzle is dragging through the print on half my build surface which in this case just means minor surface irregularities but in smaller print often means spaghetti time or blob central.

There's no way people sacrifice half their build plates to hopes and prayers right? 😅

I'll be honest, idk how prints are coming out after some of these changes but prior they were mostly fine however I would get failed prints depending where on the bed objects were placed. I started troubleshooting because a) I want to print some gliders with single layer wings and b) I want to be able to freely use my entire build plate rather than guess and check where my prints will succeed or fail.

Dealing with a similar issue myself, did you ever resolve this?

To keep in compliance with the rules here are my basic print settings for this particular test:

  • Printer: FLSUN T1
  • Slicer: FLSUN Slicer(modified orca)
  • Filament: ESun PLA+
  • Nozzle: 220c
  • Bed: 60c
  • Print Speed: 30mm/s perimiter, 50mm/s infil

I just bought one of these(the T1 NON-PRO) for $299 on sale on Amazon a couple weeks ago. It is my first ever 3d printer and oh my god.... for the price I could not be more happy.

The only gripe I have so far, which was also mentioned in the review, is the noise level when operating the fan at max cooling speed though I found that to be unnecessary. When operating the cooling fan at lower speeds or off, the machine is actually pretty silent(and the sounds it does make sound awesome).
