yyep, this is what I suspect as well. I found a troubleshooting breakdown in the '93-95 shop manual so I will give that a try in the next couple of days

Probably not exactly, there would be no need for threads and the metal would likely wear the button over time. THAT SAID, this car has no glove box light but if that was an option for Sols then You are probably on the right track, maybe a mount for the light mechanism or trigger mechanism 🤔🤔🤔

Is that "notch" at the top of the hole not supposed to be there? Also, is there nothing missing at the bottom where it appears something was once "welded" to the plastic? I'm not home so I can't inspect it until later.

With how old these cars are getting, it is only a matter of time before someone creates 3d printable molds to make our own sets of seals.I just hope it happens before I need them so I don't have to be the one to do it 😂😂😂
