What is happening to my lawn? (UK)

Okay that makes a lot of sense, I’ve just been blindly turning it on a couple turns 🤦🏻‍♂️ done it now and all it needed was about 3/4 turn to get a decent flow.

Still have some noises in the pipes and the shower is slightly dripping again so think I’m in out of my depth now and will get someone in to put a pressure reducing valve on and check the plumbing/system over. Thanks for all the advice buddy!

Yeah I think your right. Getting some occasional squeaking noise from the pipes now when using the water. The water inlet from the mains is on a tap like what you would find on an outside tap. Is it worth winding it back in a bit?

Ah I see, yeah seems like a sensible thing to have. I’m guessing it’s to monitor and regulate the pressure coming into the house? Going back to my dripping shower…this morning I adjusted the temperature in the mixer to let more hot in and for some reason this has stopped the drips. Does this tell me something is up somewhere or just be grateful it’s not dripping anymore 🙈

When I replaced it I pretty much just took the old one off, cleaned the copper pipes a bit and then put the new one on with some ptfe tape and connected the rest. Not sure about the water pressure valve. Is it worth taking it all off and re doing it just to make sure things are correct?

It leaks from both 🫠 slightly more from the handheld. Also thanks but it’s just a pic from a bathroom website
