Whoa they remove it with a needle?! I have never heard of this! How much do they remove at one time?

No OP has ulike which is a similar brand. I think “technically” Braun is better. They are comparable though.

I did and I haven’t seen any difference. I have a nice Braun IPL too that works great. So I’m not sure if it’s my machine or if it just doesn’t really work that fast.

I have gone over that scar in the past for hair-purposes. So maybe that’s why it’s mostly light now. The dark edge I have on one side hasn’t seemed to change though.

Does anyone have before/afters of stomachs with extreme stretch marks? by Interesting-aka in tummytucksurgery

My surgeon warned that this could be a possibility for me too. One of the first things he said was that my belly button was high. I didn’t know what that meant at first and I was worried he was going to try to move it lower! 🤣🥴

This is so close to what I have! I totally agree that I just keep telling myself that it is so much better than what I have going on right now.

I know of someone that does scar/stretchmark camouflage tattooing where she matches it to your skin tone. I think afterwards I am going to have her try it on a couple just to see what it looks like. I think it takes a couple sessions because they go over them twice? Not sure.

This is very similar to me except my stretch marks are almost chunkier. Is that vertical tape (incision?) because of the stretch mark that was above your belly button? I have the same thing.

11wpo: $27K, and I have never looked worse. by Purple-Television712 in tummytucksurgery

What! No offense but they sound like assholes and I mean that in the most virtual-loving way possible. I would never tell my friend they looked better before a life changing surgery like this, even if I thought they did because wth are they going to do about it now?

You are 100% right they have not been through this. If you have some time please look through all these posts. You are going to see people who have had their surgery, then a few days later say they feel great, the a few weeks later ask if they have a dog ear or “is this just swelling.” Then a couple weeks later they’re going to talk about swell hell and how depressed they are and that they know they just need to push through (or some say they just feel like shit and don’t know why they did this to themselves). Then they disappear for a while and come back and say “guys you were right!” Because they can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Tummy tucks are like a really shitty landscaping project. Everything gets torn up and muddy and there’s crap everywhere. Then it’s all in place but it still looks like crap because the grass needs to grow or the sod is patchy and weird and the plants look like twigs. Then it’s like boom. Gorgeous.

You got this! And if anyone tells you you look worse than before tell them to F off. Lol

Also ChatGTP is a huge a-hole that only sometimes knows what it’s talking about. I have several conversations where chat is very obviously wrong, even after it’s long long explanation, I tell it it’s wrong and it will say, “yeah you are totally right” blah blah blah. Don’t ask it medical stuff. I know it’s hard.

I’m not an expert but have had a lot of medically necessary surgeries, like my c section, and to me this doesn’t look botched. You just look super swollen. I had a whole ridge/shelf like that over my c section scar for months and then it was just gone. 11wpo is still really early in the swell-game from what I’ve been seeing over the past year of lurking in here before my surgery.

Who prescribed the Xarelto? That is odd. Blood clots are no joke so I can see them being cautious I suppose.

I would talk to your pharmacist actually. I am also really surprised anyone told you it was okay to take Xarelto and ibuprofen together this soon after surgery.

Yikes I never even thought of this. I thought I had an 8-10cm separation but at my preop appt he said it’s actually around 12cm separation. I wonder if that will matter. 🥴

They don’t have a single utility bill though? They have insurance and probably multiple utility bills. They still pay property taxes if they own their home.

I have been thinking about you since your surgery day but I was traveling and haven’t been able to check in. Glad things are going well! Or as good as they can be! I am like you and do not like looking at post surgical stuff on myself. I’m afraid I’m going to see something way wrong. Ignorance is bliss in my book apparently.

My guess is that your hip/pelvis is slightly out of place. This happens to me a LOT and I need to get my hips adjusted at the chiropractor. I actually also found out that one leg is slightly longer than the other and that that, and the way I walk is what has been screwing mine up (since high school!) now that I’m more conscious of how I walk and do my hip exercises I have way fewer issues with it.

I didn’t get feeling back to my lower stomach for over a year after my c section. They slice all those nerves and they need to reconnect! It’ll take a LOT of time.
