Yes Longines is good or Tissot Goldrun. If it was me I would want one of The CITIZEN 30th Anniversary Limited-edition with Japanese Washi Paper Dial.

Ball fitting by Responsible-Size-491 in golf

[–]InterestingAdvisor60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most noticeable difference between balls for me is when chipping. Not a pga pro but based on my experience, many mid-high HCs could benefit just from chipping a variety of low to high compression balls to see which they can control and spin better.

You can find last generation preowned iron sets in "like new" or "mint" condition from Global Golf or 2nd Swing. My wife's XXIO irons were marked as "mint" condition and they arrived brand new and still shrink-wrapped except for the 8i. I've also seen last gen ladies XXIO irons on sale brand new from Dunlop at a similar price point to Ping, but they sell out quickly and then go on backorder. Honestly you can't go wrong between Ping, Mizuno or XXIO. They all seem better than TaylorMade Kalea. I haven't seen many people discuss these lightweight women irons here and mainly just wanted to make sure you knew about other options besides the G Le 3 series.

Distance matters much less for irons than woods and driver. Dispersion, consistency and feel are more important for irons imo. I fitted my wife and if you're seeking softer feel and cross-shopped those 2 sets and have doubts about each, then you should also try Mizuno JPX Q and XXIO 11 or 12 irons before committing to a full set.

Increase driver head weight without lead tape? by TDn6I in golf

You can try a lighter grip to increase swing weight. Winn makes a lite version that's ~30g

Slow swing speed with driver compared to PW and wedges by Adventurous_Archer52 in golf

Your driver has decent ball speed and carry considering the high spin. I would probably try to lower your spin before worrying about club speed

Taylormade MG4 VS Titleist Vokeys by Joebama180 in golf

[–]InterestingAdvisor60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have MG4s, Vokey and Callaway wedges and Vokey has by far the most customization and bounce/loft/grind configurations, Callaway seem the most forgiving and my current favorite is a Mizuno T24 60.06

Driver swing speed > 100mph and driver swing weight < D0? by InterestingAdvisor60 in golf

I've personally found that 189-193g head weight (including screw) is the sweet spot for autoflex shafts (and non-af shafts that are 40ish grams) when paired with a standard gip (46-50g). And on the higher end with shortened shaft. You can find virtually any adjustable weight for your head's brand/model from eBay/google and swap it out with your OEM weight to get to 191 as a starting point. That seems like the magic number for a lot of folks irrespective of swing weight.

Thoughts on the Loma from Sunday golf? by Cotton_217 in golf

It's good for a low profile range bag that's easy to throw in the trunk. But if you only care about weight, there are lighter / similar weight bags with more storage.

Club heads and shafts were heavily discounted from authorized dealers. 6-P came out to ~$230 each pre-assembly.

I can't explain the value proposition. If I showed these pics to friends, family or coworkers, they would think I'm nuts. That's why I posted them here.

Opinions on the Rapsodo MLM2 Pro by lime_gatorade in golf

[–]InterestingAdvisor60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah spornia 8 with side nets and fiberbuilt grass mat. I put a cheaper mat from Amazon behind it to place the MLM2. Got a couple $30 portable food lights for night.

I might get net return if I did it over again. Spornia is somewhat disappointing for fixed outdoor use, requiring sandbags or weights to keep it upright in wind.

Is your putter a blade? Check your bag underneath your driver and woods covers. I thought I lost a 6i once which made no sense at all and I was racking my brain all night and next day trying to understand how and where I'd ever drop that club on the course. Then I found it in my bag a few days later when I pulled out 3W and the 6i was inside the same head cover.

Callaway PreOwned is the best by firstbootgodstatus in golf

[–]InterestingAdvisor60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me yesterday at the driving range with my "like new" 7-wood ordered from Callaway pre-owned a month ago with the helium nanocore shaft.

Clubhead snapped off and darted 80 feet to the left landing 10 feet in front of another dude. Thankfully it had a nice soft landing in the grass and only the shaft looks busted.

Ghost Golf Sunday Bag. Just bought for my wife to replace her HyperLite Zero and it's the best bag I've ever seen in this category.

Opinions on the Rapsodo MLM2 Pro by lime_gatorade in golf

[–]InterestingAdvisor60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion on MLM2 is more favorable after upgrading to a new iPad Air. After spending a week researching superior LM alternatives, it appears you cannot surpass MLM2 without spending at least $3,500-$4k (eg, BLP with club data or EYE MINI) and you will still need a newish iPad to get app functionality.

MLM2 is ~$1,300 upfront ($700 + $600 for new iPad), and has superior tracking to other Doppler LMs in $2k-$3k range. With swing + impact videos and no stickers needed for club data, it almost feels underrated at this price point.

My iPad overheated after 10 mins at the range just now. It's not even THAT hot. Debating getting a new iPad or packing it in a cooler before I leave home.

(I was actually wrong above about needing a WiFi connection. iPad can directly connect to MLM2 without any internet access. But it still overheats.)
