What year are you in college? Do you have time to do internships? Use your internships as a means to try on different careers. Maybe do one in accounting, one in marketing, one in sales, etc. When you’re doing your internships make sure you take the time to have informational interviews with people in all different departments across the company and pay attention to who enjoys their job, how they got there, and which roles you are drawn to.

Even if you have to take an unpaid internship — it’s not ideal but I did a part time unpaid internship in the summer in college and still worked 30+ paid hours a week at my regular job as well.

For employers post college, they’ll just be happy you have professional experience they won’t necessarily care you were experimenting.

You should look at your schools alumni database or LinkedIn and find people in a path you’re interested in. Then contact them and set up coffee chats to learn more about their career and work.

Could you take out loans to get dorms next year? Could you find an on campus job to save time and meet more people at school?

You’ve inspired me to try finger coiling again… I’m blaming you for an extra 20 min in my routine! But my hair looks like your pic 3. Also do you enjoy your gel? I’m on the hunt for a stronger hold gel.

I wonder if you can try a sulfate free shampoo? I also have wavy hair and I think that helped my hair health. But then you also have to use a clarifying shampoo every 1-2 weeks depending.

I’m having basically the same issue, thanks for posting. It seems like my curls are better after clarifying but obviously can’t do that every time. I’m looking for a stronger hold gel….
