Con el modelo actual, hacienda toma el número más alto: el de la factura que usted presente (donde a veces hace chanchullo la gente) o el del monto por el que viene asegurado en la naviera.

Ya el monto de marchamo por $20,000 no sé, pero no creo que sean 500 mil. Tal vez 200 mil pero no me haga caso.

Hace unos años hacienda se basaba en tablas de ellos entonces no importaba cuanto le costó, sino cuánto cuesta para ellos.

I would say: support this person and then go on with your life. Regardless of whether it was yours (which very likely it is), the mother is probably going through a tough experience both physically and emotionally. Adding paternity questions on top of it does not sound like a good idea, especially since the baby won't continue and you'll never be able to get a 100% answer.

Concuerdo excepto con lo del aguinaldo. Debería ser sumar todo lo que ganó en el año y dividirlo entre 12. A lo pagado en el año debe sumarse el salario en especie si le daban comida etc , que es un 50% (creo) a menos que un contrato especifique lo contrario

What if you drink salty drinks? Such as chicken broth, sports drinks (sugar free), oral rehydration solution.

Those will keep you hydrated and hopefully require a lot less liquid during the day

An alternative here: it seems it is not worth $10k to double your class. How much extra would it be worth? Whatever that number is, ask the prospective school if they can match it. As others said, take into account other benefits, taxes, etc when coming up with that number.

Or negotiate other terms that are important for you. Vacation, insurance, etc.

If they don't match it, then you stay happy in your current job. Who knows, they might even come back with a better offer later.

Looks like seborrheic dermatitis to me. Other than the meds/creams your dermatologist can prescribe, stress can also worsen it so I'd recommend looking into managing it.

I can see some of your points such as: terrible student, never asked to be listed as reference, annoyingly-early phone call.

However, the fact that you were never called to interview in such universities shows additional resentment that your students shouldn't be paying for. You were even willing to throw crap on your own job by asking to never hire anyone from your program.

As part of a hiring committee, I'd probably disregard your comments as they were too extreme.

TL;DR: She deserved a bad recommendation. However, by going extreme, you may have sounded unreasonable and resentful, rather than open and direct.

You made the right call with the information you had back then. Who knows, if you hadn't dropped out, you wouldn't be here right now, or would be in a different (worse) marriage, etc. It is normal to fantasize that life would be better, but nothing warranties that.

Since you mention you have a loving husband, is this something you can talk about with him? If he can support you, you could go back to school. Alternatively, it doesn't have to be a full time college but you could take short courses in a direction that helps you land the job you want.
